  1. I’m a simple man. A Cubs W makes me happy. Now play the song and Fly the flag

  2. #CUBS WIN!
    #FUCK THE TRASHTROS 🗑️🗑️🗑️
    #SHOTS OF MALÖRT FOR EVERYONE!!!

  3. Congratulations, Jordan Wicks! You have earned yourself the title of Sports-Glasses Champion!

Now let’s see if he can keep that title for the rest of the season.

  4. Good news

We’ve already done better against the Astros than we did last year

And the bullpen did its job

  5. Baseball knowers:

Are the Astros bad now, or they just off to a “slow start”?

    Either way, GO CUBS GOOOOOOOOO

  6. Great W. Crazy how the game thread was full of doomers the whole time when:

    1) The Cubs led the entire game

    2) Jordan Wicks threw a 6 inning quality start

    3) The bullpen gave up no runs.

Maybe try enjoying a chill game while you can for once!

  7. *takes a huge snort of Cubs victory and sits back like that one scene in Scarface*

  8. Great win with minimal clenching lol it’s great what happens when the pitching, the bats, and our defense are all up to the challenge!

P.S. re: the upcoming schedule: I hope this run with the mets is better than last years. I know we all say “cmon blue” when an ump is bad, but that whole crew — every single game of the series in NY — was so awful, so obscenely atrocious, that I was legitimately pulling my hair out.

  9. Proud of the folks in the stands booing the shit out of Altuve every time he sniffed the batter’s box.

  10. Tauchman was great today obviously, but I just want to say how underrated Amaya has been at the plate this year. The dude is a legit threat in the 9 hole.

  11. Good game, I’m getting more confidence in Almonte every appearance. Fly the W. See you guys tomorrow

  12. Great

    #[W]

Hopefully Cody is okay, hard to guess but seems like this could range from being out a few days to a few weeks

  13. Astros are my least favorite team in sports so it’s always especially sweet when they get their shit rekt.

  14. Ben Brown in the pen, although I would’ve preferred him starting over Wez, is just such a relief. He may not always give you scoreless innings but just be stable and minimize the walks which he has done
