[Bodner] The NBA Last 2 Minute report…Josh Hart did foul Tyrese Maxey on the inbounds pass…Brunson did pull on Maxey’s jersey, and it should have been called…Maxey’s push-off on Hart was marginal and should not have been called…Nurse should have gotten a timeout
The NBA also finds that:
– Brunson did pull on Maxey's jersey, and it should have been called.
– Maxey's push-off on Hart was marginal and should not have been called.
– Nurse should have gotten a timeout. pic.twitter.com/eEc5c2yE3u— Derek Bodner (@DerekBodnerNBA) April 23, 2024

Marginal
So hot right now
Replay it before tip off tomorrow
Hang the banner we won the L2M report
Jesus. That’s fucking rough.
All better now!
Ohhhhh shiiiii, everyone get in here
this shit is just insult to injury
This might be the most they have ever admitted to screwing up on a l2m lol. Usually if there is any way (i.e. 55/45 calls) for them to minimize the amount of bad calls favoring one team they do it.
Sixers about to shoot 60 free throws on Thursday
no ones happy lol
And?whats the point of this? Is there a fine to the refs? Are they getting banned?

Good thing that didn’t uhfect the outcome of the game, otherwise it’d been pretty bad.
Refs are ruining legacies and franchises
Lebron: what are we even doing with the replay center?
like wtf does a L2M see that replay center doesn’t? do they have ultramicroscopes? make it make sense. the ppl at replay center needs to be replaced by the ppl doing the L2M report if it’s just incompetence.
[There was on more tweet after the two in the OP:](https://x.com/DerekBodnerNBA/status/1782883188278169894)
>Finally, the NBA finds that Nick Nurse should NOT have been granted a timeout while Tyrese Maxey was on the ground, as Philadelphia did not have possession.
So not EVERYTHING went wrong against the Sixers? I guess?
What’s really annoying as a neutral observer to this game is that the L2M report shows what should’ve happened, but I think the preferred method would be just reviewing everything in real time and getting the call correct right then and there. People complained about how long it took to review all questionable calls under 2 minutes before, so they decided to just say fuck it let’s just leave it up to chance that our human referees get everything right? Just have the replay center sort it out and tell the refs what the ruling is. No need to play the footage over for the refs to decide
TLDR: we fucked up
Happy little mistakes.
Yikes. Way to kick em’ while they are down
Yeah, that’s brutal.
L2m: oopsie
The L2M report is the equivalent of a serial killer calling his victims’ families to taunt them.
It says the time out call was simultaneous to Hart making contact to the ball and PHI not having possession, what am I missing?
Am I dumb? Where do they say the time out should have been given?
This doesn’t appear to be the correct read of the report.
1. The time out no calls are coded as CNC (correct no call).
2. The NBA acknowledged a missed foul on DDV which would have granted two foul shots and enough time for Knicks to play a full possession of defense, potentially negating the entire next sequence in question.
