League sources do not expect the Steelers to pick up the $25 million fifth-year option on quarterback Justin Fields, whom the team acquired last month for a conditional 2025 6th-round pick. Fields and Russell Wilson both now will be entering the last year of their contracts.

  1. In other words, the sky is blue.

I’m moreso curious about Najee. I don’t see why they wouldn’t pick up his option, but u never know under the new management

  2. It’s been pretty well known from the moment they made the trade that they were weren’t going to pick it up lol.

  3. Doesn’t mean they don’t work out an extension for cheaper. My (amateur) opinion is Fields wouldn’t sniff $25M on the market.

  4. It’s draft week. How are they still producing these nothing articles. Go interview dark horse first rounder from East polytechnic state

  5. They might do a new contract, but there was never any hope for anyone to give him a 5th year option. That’s why they got him for peanuts.

  6. The fun part of the QB carousel after Ben is that there’s no getting off for years
