  1. I think we all saw this coming. Hope he gets everything worked out and comes back confident.

  2. Anyone who has been a part of teaching him since joining the Major Leagues should be seriously under review. This organization has failed him and its shocking how much he has regressed. Shit the dude can barely get the ball to the warning track right now.

  3. He’s looked lost all season so was bound to happen. I know he’s young and not every prospect is Ronald Acuna jr. But why does it always seems like the cardinals prospects just regress or fall flat every time. I know he was hot after getting called up last summer but why do they have to keep sending down prospects for them to get fixed.

  4. Extremely depressing but had to happen I think. He’s looking worse and worse and the team isn’t playing well so it’s just all bad vibes

  5. I legitimately can’t remember the last prized prospect we’ve had that has produced as expected.

  6. A firm reminder the kid is 21-years-old. I’m going to sound like Mo here, but this kid actually does deserve some patience.

  7. Some may be upset with this, but it needed to happen. He’s basically doing the exact same stuff as he was at the beginning of last year, just without a fluky hit streak to cover it up. 58% of his plate appearances have ended with a strikeout or a ground ball, which just isn’t good enough. Hopefully he can get right, because all the tools are there.

  8. Absolutely needed. The kids swing has looked way too long and his pitch recognition is really rough right now. Really bad combination if you want any shot of hitting big league pitching.

  9. What an overreaction. Did the reds send Elly De La Cruz down during his struggles this season? God forbid we actually admit our coaching staff is just incompetent
