Is this optimism or delusion? The Astros dynasty might be far from over but their star players are facing a huge decline, something must be done or else Astros will be done by June, or maybe earlier with the way things are going

We’re the St Louis Cardinals that won in 2006 and 2011 considered a dynasty? Even if you count 2017 2 rings in 5 years seems like a low bar to be considered a dynasty.

The Astros are only one more win than the Marlins.The only teams currently worse than that are the Marlins,Rockies and White Sox.
I mean look at their pitching staff, they have quite a few guys on the 60 day injured list. I think once their pitching staff falls back in line and starts easing the stress off the offense, it’ll do wonders for their confidence and they will start winning again. I really don’t agree with the notion that their season is done in April.

Rangers fan here. This sub is going to lose it’s mind when the Astros get their pitchers back and start winning games. They’re 29th in the league in ERA. Pitching matters.
In his defense, he’s the only person on the whole damn team (except maybe Pressly from his Twins days) who knows what losing tastes like.

I give them 5 weeks. If they continue at this pace the playoff odds will be super slim. The farm system there isn’t great either. Last I checked they had no top 100 prospects (or maybe 1?). What capital do they use to acquire starting pitching or bullpen help with a weak farm system? My prediction if they keep trending this way is they’re going to have to sell and stock the pond. Bregman for sure and possibly Tucker as trade targets. I do not envy the position they’re in. Org went into the season on a skinny limb and it’s not looking good right now.
