Smith wanted to be in Philly, that’s why he signed first. Thank god we got that done, there’s no way SF can pay aiyuk now, ceedee is gonna put Dallas in cap hell. Don’t even want to think about how much JJettas gonna want.

I know Jefferson and Lamb are doing backflips right now. Hell even if AJ wants a raise soonish locking up SMitty at great value makes it easier to either give AJ that market value raise or make the hard choice to move on.

Smith also got $20M up front as a singing bonus, so a lot of people put additional value on getting that much cash up front. I’m sure he’s very happy.

I understand smith is in a different situation than a lot of these other guys being on one of few teams where he’s the wr2. But still st brown is the same age and a top 5 wr in the league. Why do so many people seem to think smith isn’t happy with being paid as much as AJ brown just because receivers the same age with better production are getting paid more? They deserve to be.
Makes the smith deal that much sweeter. And with the option chefs kiss
