Re-embrace big data
Don’t listen to Crane or Bagwell would be a start.
Coach needs to motivate the team. They play like they don’t give a fuck
I personally don’t think there will be a mid-season inflection point for the current FO. Crane is too high on his own bullshit, he’s got Bagwell and Jackson reinforcing his ego at every turn with the old school mentality, and as much as Brown has made surface-level disagreements with Crane in the media, he’s always turned around and done exactly what Crane wants when the chips are actually on the table. He and Espada are there to be yes-men.
So to me, the inflection point would be either: Crane having a moment where his ego deflates back to some semblance of what it was prior to 2022 or Crane selling the team.
Bagwell is ruining his legacy the longer he gets a say in the team.
Pitchers returning from the IL as their normal selves and Abreu getting cut. That’s basically it.
If we get beat in the next series by the Rockies, the season is over. We are getting on base but not making it across the plate, pitching would help, but not carry us over home plate.
