[Kane] Thank you Red Wings, my teammates, coaches and all the fans of Hockey Town for welcoming me and my family with open arms this season. This past year gave us memories we’ll never forget. The work doesn’t stop. #LGRW

  1. this feels like a farewell tweet until the last line. what the hell does this mean

  2. Really liked him as a player this year, but does his remaining career really fit the Wings playoff window?

Without some crazy jumps, we’re looking at the 6-7-8 seed next year and the 4-5-6 seed in 2026. Do we want to spend 4/5 mil on his last productive season(s) while still looking at another year or two of that contract and holding back a younger/cheaper player?

I don’t see Stevie doing that kind of deal. Again, really like him as a player and professional, but the price duration has to fit the future.

  3. Yup

Sounds like he is more than willing to come back

    But…

    For the eight price.

He seems like an OK guy, but with a nickname like Showtime, he knows he can be the bees knees here in Detroit.

  4. He is the one player on the team, that when skating on a breakaway with the puck you just know he’s going to score. I do not feel this way about any other Red Wings player at the moment, so I hope he decides to stay.

  5. Everything says it’s a farewell message… until u get to the last line. One hell of a rollercoaster of emotions in 10 seconds lmao.

Hopefully he stays, even if we give him one or two years too much I think his presence is so invaluable it might be worth it.

  6. I feel like I’m in 6th grade and I’m trying to figure out if the girl in my class likes me too.
