  1. My man really sold the whole staying in shape and season-ready thing he had talked about. This is pretty much worst case scenario, now we have to wait a couple weeks for him to start ramping up AGAIN

Edit: reading now that the timeline for these injuries is usually 6-8 weeks, fucking fade me

  2. Well shit, this is just delaying even further his top form (assuming we’re treating his first few starts as spring training-like). Positive side though: Giants have a chance to win today now

  3. We all need to be careful about hating on Snell too much. He will come around and once he does he won’t forget the ‘hate’ in the beginning. Hoping he stays for more than one year!

  4. So does this mean when he’s back we get another month “Spring Training” starts? Thought he was staying in shape and game ready through his holdout…

    Sheesh..

  5. Just imagine where our team would be if he’d shown up to his three starts and pitched even half-decently…

  6. I presume this was why he’s been off. Rather have him at 100% and effective than 60% and bad

  7. That’s rough. Felt like his last start (minus when he started giving up all the runs) was a bit better than his last two

  8. Sweet, now maybe he’ll get some time to pitch in the minors and make up for missing out on a spring training tune-up.

Next update will hopefully include a rehab assignment.

  9. Boras sure does have a decent amount of clients who sign big money deals, only to have a relatively major injury occur/be in place and become damaged goods soon after inking their contracts.

  10. I’m just gonna say I wanted Montgomery all along. Btw, Montgomery is currently dealing against the Cardinals.

  11. If only he stayed in shape during the off season and didn’t hold out until the absolute last minute to sign for way less money. He’s still cashing in 32 million this year, but he’s bad, not healthy, not ready to pitch, and could’ve secured a bigger bag if not for the terrible misread of the market by Boras.

  12. 6-8 weeks is for a more serious injury. A few articles I read says up to two weeks for a grade 1 strain. Assuming that’s what he has.

  13. This is honestly fine, I was afraid Keaton Winn wasn’t going to have a place soon, and dude is dealing
