[Schefter] Bengals franchise WR Tee Higgins also has requested to be traded being that there have been no contract talks with the team now in over a year.

Tee has reiterated his trade request once again. We have the most cap space in the league and lack any high end receiver talent.
Get him and give Maye/Daniels a weapon

After st brown signing a 30m per deal I can’t wait to see what his ask is.
Probably costs you a 2nd this year and maybe some sort of future pick(s?). The question would be for me is he over/under Ridley’s contract or similar?
Man I’d be fucking over the moon if we drafted Maye and traded for Higgins.
Probably wouldn’t give them the 2nd round pick but 25 year old elite WRs don’t grow on trees. What do you guys think it would take to get him?

I don’t think they’re trading him. He’s going to hold out of training camp, sign the franchise tag in late August, and hit free agency next year.

Feels to me like he was waiting for the ball to drop on the new WR market. Now that St. Brown set the market for his perceived talent level, he’s demanding a trade to leverage the Bengals for a bigger deal. He’d held out on demanding a trade before because he wanted more then Ridley, then the most recent big WR deal.

I’d see if they want a third for him right now and a future pick. I wouldn’t be against offering a 2nd but we don’t know how the board falls, could be a decision made there after day 1

I cannot shake the feeling that there is a deal in place for Higgins contingent on what happens at 3. If it’s Maye, they pull the trigger and toss 34. If someone walks in with that mind blowing offer, no need.
So out on Higgins, I would so much rather target Aiyuk even if it costs a little extra.

This is not the draft to trade for an expensive receiver with a high 2nd rounder. There’s a wave coming where teams don’t want to pay these guys
If both Higgins and Aiyuk get moved then one of them better be coming here
I really think they should prioritize drafting the WR position.
Trading high draft picks and paying a massive contract to a guy like Tee is bold at this point in the rebuild.
And I get that the rookie QB will need some elite pass catchers. They need to find him in the draft though.
Higgins is young and really good. Its a no brainer to try to trade for him.
