He’s in with enough people that I’d expect him to land somewhere
Get rid of Jim Murray and/or Adam Jones from 98.5 and bring on Mike.
Really enjoy Mike on YT and 6Rings and have no doubt he’ll find sustained success in sports media. Hopefully he lands somewhere where he’ll still be covering the Pats.
Audacy is one of the worst companies to work for, bar none. They have an immense portfolio of blue-chip stations and properties around the country, from heritage formats to the king of newstalk in Detroit, WWJ, to stations like WEEI that can bring in crazy numbers and ad revenue. That being said, their stock price as of today is $.15 (fifteen cents). In February of 2021, it was $180 having recovered fully from its COVID “dip”.
I don’t know the ins and outs of this situation, but I do know a few people in some buildings across the country and the vibes are not immaculate.
He was really bad at his job
WEEI is a trash news station anyway. Sucks to lose any job but get rid of quality guys and keeps you Hills and Jones.
Man EEI had the best 2 young patriots centric reporters in Kadlick and Kyrie Thompson and fumbled them both.
Audacy kinda sucks and I’m so worried what’s gonna happen when they go under and all the stations they irresponsibly gobbled up too fast to support are staring over the cliff.
I live in western Ma and don’t get sportshub, I gotta listen to shitty eei, I didnt mind merloni and fauri but they got replaced with jones and some chick they are awful. Morning show ain’t terrible other than wiggy and curtis and shyme and hill and the new girl.

Sucks. Mike is one of the good ones IMO. Hope he lands on his feet somewhere else soon.
I really like Kadlick and it’s a bummer to see this news today.
That being said, he’s got a solid football understanding and is really personable with lots of connections to other people who cover the Pats. I’m sure he’ll land on his feet
