  1. Positives from today’s Cleveland MINOR LEAGUE baseball:

Cleveland mini blurb- Kwan, José, Bo, and Florial each come away with a hit, with José’s being a double. Avila took the bullet of being a sacrificial bullpen arm, going 3 innings to save everybody else.

Columbus… also gets a mini blurb, yeesh. J.Rod gets the lone hit (a single) for the offense. Wes Parsons goes 3 scoreless innings, allowing no baserunners and striking out 6.

Akron has a day game today, and they showed up for it. Alexfri Planez and Dayan Frias each get 3 hits, with Frías getting two doubles and Planez getting a double and a homer. They help lead the offense to a 8 run effort off of 13 hits, 4 walks, and a Kahlil Watson stolen base. Watson also had a home run, and Milan Tolentino had a 2 hit, 2 RBI day.

Tommy Mace gets the start for Akron, and goes 5.1IP, 6H, 4R(2ER), 2BB, and 1K on 85 pitches. Certainly not an excellent outing, but the unearned runs didn’t help. Andrew Walters and Trey Benton each went one inning out of the pen, with Benton getting the save and Walters striking out three.

Wish I knew more Lake Country names, haven’t had time to look at the boys yet (college). They’re up 4-2 as I write this. At least they’re not Lynchburg, who’s currently down 15-1 to Myrtle Beach. Ouch.

    More baseball tomorrow!

  2. Once of those “oh well” games but here are some observations

It might be time to swap Cookie for Curry as much as I love him

It might also be time to let Gabby get more reps than Rocchio for the time being

And don’t worry, I’ll put the hit out for Wong and Abreu before the game tomorrow

  3. Definitely not my favorite game of the season.

Connor Wong is the new Elvis Andrews. Dude turns into babe Ruth against us.

Shake it off, come get the series tomorrow.

  4. I was at my son’s baseball practice from 7-8:30. It was cold as fuck. I don’t blame the Guardians too much for dropping a stinker today.

  5. Meh. Can’t win ‘em all. Lousy cold day. Win tomorrow (I’ll be there) and all will be good.

  6. Reminder that tomorrow’s game is at 1:10 pm.  Someone please notify me, because the MLB app notifications thing continues to puzzle me

  7. Need Gimenez to play like he did to start the year

.250 hitter if you take away the first 7 games

  8. It’s so nice to get smacked and just have people chill in here and not like last year where there were “be nice” pinned comments

  9. let’s take the series tomorrow and we’ll be good. Need momentum when we have to face the Braves.

  10. I’m so damaged from last year that when games like this happen I’m just hoping that it’s not the beginning of the other foot coming down
