Klay must be Warriors’ priority, but Moody has earned opportunity

Kerr when asked last week about his starting-lineup options if Thompson returns as the sixth man.

“It could very well be somebody on the roster,” Kerr said. “I think our young guys are going to continue to get better. For a while we started Brandin [Podziemski] instead of Klay. So that's a possibility. Maybe Moses moves into the starting lineup.”

  1. Kerr just needs to keep klay on a short leash. It is very apparent when he has it going and when he doesn’t

  2. I love Klay. But unless we’re just letting Dray, Klay, and Steph retire Warriors, there’s no compelling reason to bring him back if we want to be a competitive (not in the play-in) team.

  3. Paying Klay significantly means he has to play to justify it & he just isn’t what we need. We need a dominant number 2, moody can provide what we need from this version of Klay & has the higher upside unfortunately, we need to hope the clips flame out and make a move for PG pr something

  4. This roster is broken. Podz isn’t a starter, but a nice piece off the bench. Klay should only play around 20 minutes.

  5. Lukewarm take: as long as both Kerr and Klay are with the Warriors, nothing will change.

  6. Why aren’t people sold on Moody? I feel like him and Klay (at least right now) are about 1:1. He doesn’t get the opportunity to get into a groove and mesh with teammates like he would as a starter. I think Moody can contribute more as a starter. I don’t think we need him to be scoring 20+ ppg but like at the very least he’s gonna be better as a starter. Plus I mean might as well jack his value up

  7. Call me crazy but this team isn’t horrible. Let Klay and CP walk. Throw some money at a big that defends and can hit an open shot. Kuminga becomes a top 50 player and Moody becomes Trey Murphy.
