I didn’t get a chance to watch but I’m sure they pulled it out. Two down, fourteen to go.
What the fuck did I just watch?
Make Jrue and Porzingis walk to Miami.
Wtf will it take for this team to stop having these performances in the playoffs?
Is it mental? Coaching? The offense seems to fall apart and in turn they go soft on defense and collapse.
I know it was a bad game, it happens. I just feel like a performance of this caliber is unacceptable at this point.
I’m so fucking sick of playing Miami
Loss is on Porzingis, love him but he’s supposed to be the difference and he was putrid tonight. Cannot happen again.
I said during the 4th quarter last game that I would view that quarter through the prism of this game. Turns out that 4th quarter was a canary in the coal mine.
No perimeter defense. No ball movement. No assists. All 5 out, isolation matchup seeking bullshit. Rimmed out shots.
Just horrible basketball. Play better. Coach better. Execute better.
Heat goes over 50% from 3 with 20+ made shots. What the fuck was Mazzulla’s game plan or response to that? We could have still overcame that if Porzingis wasn’t such a liability on the floor. Very disappointed with our poor execution tonight.
My copium is that this was certainly an outlier game for them. It took them breaking their franchise record for 3’s on absurd efficiency to only win by single digits. With a Porzingis stinker so bad I doubt he could replicate it if he tried. Do that 3 more times
“it’s different here” no shit, I hate it.
Miami played a great game. We played like ass. Both outcomes were squarely due to coaching.
not gonna go into a full panic but this defense was horrendous. they hit every 3 but they were also open on every single 3 lol. kp was terrible and so was most of everyone outside of jb and jt.
i cant say id blame those who choose to panic. this team needs to win these types of games if they wanna be serious. the heat dont have jimmy lol
lets try defense next time
So fucking tired of losing the same way every fucking playoffs
I want to vomit
Wow. A truly disheartening performance.
Playing basketball the right way as a team is where I think coaching comes in to play. I don’t know what the hell was going on, but there was no sense of cohesion, no passing, everything was just one iso after another.
Really sad to see that, but if we had played even a lick of defense we probably win anyway.
Hats off to Spo, he had his group ready to play.
Porzingis my guy…. You really gotta do better
Playoff Jrue averaging 0.2 points per minute. Give him a bigger contract pls
Basketball is just a distraction planted by the US government to divert our attention from corruption and abuse of power (me when the celtics lose)
64 wins to lose home court in 1 game. The Heat made the 4th most 3s in nba history in a playoff game.
Holy PTSD
“They can’t possibly hit another 3 pointer, can they?”
Nothing to say but damn, lol
Pathetic
Should’ve closed with Al.
I’m not one to use +/-, but Porzingis being a -32 was evident
We can never talk shit about the Heat ever again. They own us until we beat them.
I can’t do this anymore bro. (I’m overreacting but I really can’t bro)
This team has the mental fortitude of a marshmallow
The silver lining to this loss is that the Celtics now have a chance to go take care of business in Miami, win both, and come back to give Mike Gorman a proper send-off with a series winning game at the Garden. At least the poor effort tonight won’t be the last of Mike’s calls.
Don’t fucking broadcast our games on TNT ever again.
Same team from last year.
Those are the real Celtics we know and love.
Paper Champions.
Lol at all the morons who thought this would be easy. Call me a doomer but our experiences against Miami are clearly indicative of mental weakness and I feel like this series could easily go either way now.
is it too much to ask for the celtics to not make a lotto-level team look like the 2017 warriors? They have given us as fans zero reason to trust them against Miami, a team they should be beating by 20 on average
mazzula is mike d’antoni with the rockets. it looks great when it’s going their way but when it comes time to adjust he can’t do it . too stubborn
Can’t stop thinking about when Tatum had it going in the first and it felt like we were about to open things up and Joe took him out and everything went to shit. Do we really have to be so rigid with rotations in the playoffs? Isnt the point of having multiple all-NBA guys in their twenties that you can stretch their minutes in the playoffs?
The Celtics are going to win this series. Miami cannot do this 4 times without Butler. However, I have completely lost any and all faith in their ability to win the chip until I see it with my own eyes.
Losing even a single game to Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo and g leaguers, with our roster, is completely inexcusable. Glad Marcus is finally exonerated from everyone blaming these disgusting performances on him though!
Please help us mods by reporting comments/trolls! The loss hurts extra for us tonight :'(.
