Notable Lines

  • Ryan Galanie (A) – 2 for 4, 1 walk, 1 run, 2 singles. The 13th round draft pick from the 23 draft class is off to a hot start. He raises his average to .364 on the year and his OPS to .895
  • Caden Connor (A) – 3 for 5, 1 solo HR, 2 singles (Game winning hit in the bottom of the 9th), 1 RBI, 1 Strikeout.
  • Jake Peppers (A) – W, 5.2 IP, 2 hits, 1 run, 0 earned runs, 2 walks, 5 strikeouts. The 9th round pick from the 23 draft class has pitched well so far in 3 starts, lowering his season ERA to 2.70
  • Terrell Tatum (AA) – 1 for 5, 3 RBIs, 3 strikeouts, 1 double
  • Brooks Baldwin (AA) – 3 for 5, 2 RBIs, 1 Strikeout, 2 doubles, 1 single. Brooks continues to mash the baseball all over. His slashline is now .431/.492/.586 for an OPS of 1.078, surpassing Quero.
  • Edgar Quero (AA) – 0 for 4, 3 strikeouts
  • Wilfred Veras (AA) – 1 for 4, 1 RBI, 3 strikeouts, 1 single
  • Tim Elko (AA) – 0 for 4, 2 strikeouts. Elko has been struggling at the plate a bit lately. His slashline has fallen to .250/.276/.411 for an OPS of .687.
  • Bryan Ramos (AA) – 0 for 4, 1 strikeout. Nobody in the system is struggling harder than Ramos atm. Ramos is slashing .091/.194/.091 for an OPS of .285. He's 5 for 55 and only has 4 rbi's and 2 runs scored. One has to wonder if the report of him being unhappy he was sent down to AA again is affecting his mental confidence at the plate at the moment.
  • Jacob Burke (AA) – 1 for 4, 1 single. The 30th ranked prospect in the system has started off cold for the Barons so far, but he has less than 50 AB's at the AA level in his minors career.
  • Duke Ellis (AA) – 2 for 4, 1 strikeout, 2 runs. The former top 30 prospect is seeing the ball much better this time around, batting .345 with an OPS of .831, some of the best he's ever posted. The former top 30 prospect leads all of minor leagues with 15 stolen bases so far on 16 attempts.
  • Drew Thorpe – W (4-0), 6 IP, 6 hits, 1 run, 1 earned, 1 walk, 3 strikeouts, 87 pitches thrown. Watched the game tonight and he had some of his worst stuff I've ever seen and the lookout still had no chance. He entered the game with a .50 ERA and left with a .75 ERA.
  • Jared Kelley (AA) – 2 IP, 1 hit, 0 runs, 0 earned, 0 walks, 1 strikeout
  • Andrew Dalquist (AA) – 1 IP, 0 hits, 0 runs, 0 earned, 0 walks, 1 strikeout. The former 3rd round pick of the White Sox back in 2019 (81 Overall) has transitioned into a bullpen role this year, and has yet to give up a run in the 4 appearances he has had so far (4.1 IP)
  • Lenyn Sosa (AAA) – 1 for 5, 1 double
  • Colson Montgomery (AAA) – 1 for 4, 2 runs, 1 solo HR (429 feet), 1 RBI, 1 walk, 2 strikeouts. Colson's slashline so far after the game is .221/.310/.377 for a .687 OPS. Suffice to say, we won't be seeing him soon as he makes adjustments (Personally I don't think he should be up at all imo).
  • Oscar Colas – 0 for 5, 1 strikeout
  • Zach Deloach – 1 for 3, 1 single, 2 RBIs, 1 walk
  • Adam Hackenberg – 1 for 1, 1 run, 3 walks. The 24 year old former top 30 catching prospect has started off slow, but has quickly ramped up in recent games.
  • Bailey Horn – 2 IP, 1 hit, 0 runs, 0 earned, 1 walk, 2 strikeouts. He earns a hold
  • Lane Ramsey – 1 IP, 0 hits, 0 runs, 0 earned, 0 walks, 0 strikeouts. Ramsey earns his first save of the year.
