Who has this sneaking suspicion we’re gonna trade up for Brock Bowers? I’m not saying we should, or he would be addressing one of our most immediate needs but I just can’t shake this hunch that that’s exactly what we’re gonna do. What says you?

I wouldn’t want to do that, but at the same time, he is a beast. I just don’t see us doing 2 tight end sets much, but someone has suggested we play him in the slot which is an interesting thought i guess.
This would be a phenomenal move. The guys more of an H than a traditional TE. Blue chip talent. Take it if it’s there no question
Yes, you’re the only one.
Feels like howie is gonna watch how the first 5-10 picks go and how many teams trade up while pushing some Corners/ O lineman down and potentially trade to 12 if the Cb they want is there. I could definetely see us going O Line and we have a track record and it would be a good move for the future but I think with the contracts the way they are if we want to win now we take secondary and get Arnold/mitchell at 12 and if not dejan/Mckinstry at 22
No. I actually am convinced this is the target over corner. They have a lot of young assets at corner. If Brock falls I think Howie is gonna push for him. If he gets picked they can sit and pick a good corner.
If he drops to 15 or so, I’m down with it.
You aren’t the only one but you are all wrong, respectfully
this would be a bad decision
You’re not, I could see them doing it given Goedert’s age and the value of TEs
I’m expecting it. You saw how much this offense collapsed when Goedert went down last year.
he’s the only top 10 talent who’s likely to fall out of the top 10-15 range. we drafted Goedert at the same point in Ertz’s career that Goedert is in now. Obviously we didn’t take Goedert in the 1st, but no shot Bowers is a day 2 pick.
Trading up for a tight end would be really dumb.
Yes
TE in the first round is a waste of a pick. It is the 22nd most important position
Solak and Kapadia says Tight Ends are a crapshoot so it’s unwise to gamble on one
Great TE’s are proven value in new NFL
Cooper dejean
Huge backfire potential, but also big upside. I feel like drafting 1st round TEs like never works out so id prefer not
I feel the same way about him going to the Jets, so they’d have to move up to 10. Ain’t happening
The team ain’t moving past say 15 imo so Howie sees how it falls.
Terrion Arnold or Latu.
Howie isn’t drafting a TE in the first for many many reasons.
Wouldnt hate it, just dont trade up for him
We’re due for drafting another TE, and I expected it to happen last year. But maybe he drafts Brock Bowers, even though I highly doubt Howie pays a premium pick on it.
No, I’d draft him if he fell to us, but I wouldn’t trade up.
Definitely not a need right now.
Stop it… we need DEFENSE!
I’d prefer drafting a tight end later. A guy like Stover or Theo Johnson. I like big 10 tight ends. Dudes that can play in the cold and rain and snow.
If by some miracle he falls to us then absolutely. I would however be unhappy trading up for a TE when Dallas is still fine
Its fun to think about but not a chance. But Ben Sinnott in the 5th makes sense.
I’m gonna be thrilled if the Eagles draft Brock Bowers. He’s a stud, rather have a stud at a position we don’t really need than a player that is more at risk of busting at another position. I know the track record with first round tight ends is awful but I don’t care, there are exceptions to every rule just like receivers under 180 pounds aren’t supposed to be good, we have one here that is.
