This might be old news but ik there still some people that think Cam can still play today or still feel some type of way about the panthers not resigning him. This officially confirms why. If anyone knows it’s Ron Riverac if he knew Cams shoulder fully cam back he would’ve definitely signed him in Washington.

this isn’t news to anyone but it’s frustrating to hear from Ron who kept marching Cam out week after week while injured
Dude had elite arm talent and couldn’t throw a tight 12 yard throw by the end of his career. So painful to see unfortunately. Didn’t help that we kept trotting him out there and not letting him recover, Ron. But the NFL also did its worst to protect him. Never seen a QB allowed to be as badly abused as Cam week in week out.

And this is why I don’t have fond memories of Ron. He was horrible with player injuries. The most glaring being Cam. He cared more about trotting out the regular starters (even injured) than working in young players and addressing injuries before they snowballed into bigger problems.

Nobody will sign Cam at the price he wants and likely the role he wants. He’s said as much on podcasts that he’s not signing for cheap.
Cam would still be in the league imo if he wanted to be. There’s still value of him as a runner and a creative team would be able to leverage him in a Taysom Hill role.
It seems Cam feels playing for lower pay or in that type of role is beneath him at this stage in his life, which I can’t fault him for. I will stand by he could still be on an NFL roster.
Did Ton confirm it was his fault that he failed Cam and the Panthers and appreciates him getting us the success we had because it surely wasn’t because of anyone else save for Luke TD and Olsen.
Not a Panthers fan, but Ron Rivera is a trash ass coach. Without Cam, dude wouldn’t have been shit. I mean look at the Commanders and how terrible they are. Now saying that, he wrecked Cam’s career to me. He did nothing to protect Cam at all and neither did the front office. The front office gave Cam a terrible O-line to protect him and when he took major hits, Ron did nothing to make sure the injuries that stacked up didn’t get worse nor allow him to get healthy enough to press on. Nah Ron needs to fuck off
