I don’t think they need to. The early picks are going to be a run on QBs and WRs. What we need is an offensive lineman and we can get that at the current pick.
I would generally hate it, but they might feel forced to if there is an early run on OLinemen, especially because the whole league knows they have to trade ahead of the Saints if there’s a lineman they really like. So worst case scenario is that happens and the Saints feel forced to trade up. I would rather they sit at 14 and take BPA if the lineman are all taken, just roll with what the draft gives instead of sending away more future picks. We need all the young talent we can get.

This team will be worse than last year’s. Trading any of next year’s picks to move up this year would be a terrible decision.
The only thing I’m asking this team to do is not trade future draft capital to move up. It’s killing them already this year only having 2 picks in the top 150. They need as many draft picks as possible going forward.

This is literally something I argued about to an idiot on here who claimed nick underhill and triplette said were trading up and cited a NOF article.
Nick NEVER said such thing. It was a hypothetical situation where if Joe Alt dropped past the titans and made it to 10 the rumor is jets would like to trade back. So trading a 2025 second would get us to 10 but the issue was for nick it’s 200 pts over. Every trade up you have to pay more pts to move up than the actual value on trade charts…

Nowhere has nick ever legitimately just flat out leaked information like the suggested redditor who I argued with said. He’d lose all credibility with his sources.
I wouldn’t pay attention to these rumors maybe we will trade up and they’re only guessing that because every draft we trade up… but it seems highly unlikely in round 1. Loomis legit stated in his pre draft some things that allude we might look to trade up after the second round to the fifth depending how the draft falls… but that’s a discussion they’ll have when that time comes…
All we have to do is trade back once and gain like an additional 3 picks. But we will literally never do that.
