[Russini] The 49ers have had conversations with teams, including with one picking in the top 10, about trading either of their prized wide receivers Brandon Aiyuk or Deebo Samuel in an effort to move up in the first round, per sources.

  1. what i think the 49ers could be thinking right now if they are willing to trade either deebo or aiyuk

aiyuk for a top 10 pick

    deebo + pick #31 for a top 10 pick

  2. Ain’t happening. We’d have 21.7m in dead money if we traded deebo.. would be really dumb to unless they were blown away

  3. No thanks. Aiyuk is are true WR, Deebo becoming #1 with his style would be bad. And on the other hand every game last season Deebo was out or left early in went down hill fast.

  4. There’s so much smoke about us and wide receivers right now. Maiocoo said not to be surprised if we went WR at 31 and this tweet has us trading one of our guys to move up. Mocks like Daniel Jeremiah have us going WR. Silver said teams are calling about Deebo too

  5. I think I’d rather have Aiyuk at this point, but it would be dumb to trade either one… you aren’t going to replace what they bring to the team unless you can get to like a top 3 pick

  6. I don’t think now is the time the 49ers will get good value for a WR unless a team with an unproven, very young or rookie QB that has a lot of cap.

I think Deebo will see this as an extension/ new contract year and will have his 2nd best season.

If a deal can’t be worked out with Aiyuk I’d rather move forward assuming we can tag trade Aiyuk next year and test if he is actually willing to sit out, which I don’t think would be good for his value.

  7. We can’t trade Deebo due to the cap hit, but if they get an offer for a top 10 pick for Aiyuk then he’s definitely gone. That would allow them to choose one of the best offensive lineman in the draft

  8. The game plan went to shit when deebo got Hurt is because Kyle game plans so much for deebo and no one else can do that on the team

  9. Aiyuk and our first for the chargers’ first, then we trade down with the raiders or someone to get two firsts back ? Spend one in WR and one on RT?

sounds like the kind of chess they’d entertain

  10. Presumably this would be moving one of the WRs, pick 31, and another pick to get up that high.

  11. We are going to trade deebo. We are moving away from players who can’t stay healthy.

  12. We’ve hit peak throwing shit around for clicks baby, after this the offseason gets real boring so enjoy this while it lasts.

  13. Deebo got a big dead cap hit this year so let’s draft a WR day 2 or 3 and run it back with both Deebo and Aiyuk this upcoming season before trading Deebo next year

  14. Team calls 49ers.
“What do you want for Aiyuk and or Deebo”
    “1st and a player”
“But we have a top 10 pick”
    “And?”

This is most likely the scenario, but it’s sexier to word it like SF is shopping their players.

  15. Don’t trade either. Run that shit back only this time Kyle can untuck his balls for the big game.

  16. I was at the NFCCG vs the lions. If you were at the game you could *feel* it in the stadium that Deebo was taking over the game in the 2nd. It was a crazy experience. Theres magic to the way deebo plays.

  17. Sure, I’d be fine with trading either of those guys and #31 to move into a position to draft Joe Alt. There’s just no way that happens. What team that high in the draft is happy to make that move?

  18. I would like packaging 31 and deebo for a top 10 pick more than trading aiyuk. I feel like that way they’re at least trying to transform the offense rather than just replace aiyuk with a cheaper player.

  19. Before the Jets signed Mike Williams I really was getting used to the idea of Aiyuk for #10.

We can’t afford to keep/pay EVERYONE and selling high on Aiyuk might be the best option.
