I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen Dan Dickerson before. From the thumbnail I thought it was Benetti and Dan Miller for a second.
Fantastic episode. Hinch is fascinating. Makes you like Hinch even more after listening to this.
I hope they can get fetter on eventually. I don’t even know what his voice sounds like.
This should be really fun series. The way AJ talks about the players, it seems like they really enjoy each other and there are a bunch of characters on the team that we don’t really get to see much of. The bit about Reese Olson and Instagram is funny, and it was cool to see Javy mentioned in that. It humanizes these people, and hopefully some people watching this might think twice before calling players “a piece of shit” for having a bad inning.
Getting Benetti really makes this feel like the beginning of a new era. The vibe in the broadcast is so different from recent years, and they all seem like they’re having so much fun. Having someone smart and funny like him around is bringing out the best in the broadcast team, and it’s opening up more interaction with the players and staff.
