Really just shows how hard it is to assess QBs as prospects.
….welp. Thanks.
I wish we could send some of the draft experts from this sub back in a time machine to give their great advice to the Chiefs in 2016…
“If you see your guy go up and get your guy, do whatever it takes”
“nobody will complain about the price if he turns out to be a franchise QB”
“trading back to get a defensive piece won’t move the needle you gotta have a QB”
“the 2017 draft class looks like its gonna suck so you have to get your guy now or you’re wasting another year”
I don’t need this negativity
Let’s not forget if Paxton did get drafted he would’ve been on a team with Andy Reid as his HC and Tyreek hill and Travis Kelce and Alex Smith mentoring him so chances are he would’ve worked out with them!
Everyone sees drafting mahomes as genius as if they didnt just get the best guy they could because we took the guy they wanted before them
The Chiefs are the luckiest franchise and it gives me a headache
And we need to do that this year. Pick someone that builds the team this year on the defensive line or o-line.
How does trading back help? Explain it to me like a five year old.
Ooof! That hurts
I hate this multiverse
Paxton and Mahomes had VERY similar draft profiles coming out, so this tracks.

Pain
Old news bro
The Cowboys also badly wanted Paxton Lynch. When we took him, they were forced to go with their Plan B…Dak.
But they didn’t almost take him..He was just still on the board.
Mahomes’ first start and Lynch’s first start were against each other. Just beautiful
