Bo was a top 3 QB on our board, and apparently we would have traded up for Bo if need be, which is crazy.

That being said, the dude is awesome. He is super smart and athletic and has great speed. The guy knows how to SCORE. It’s like what he specializes in. He is what you wanted from Russ.

I like this pick. I think he’s way better than JJ.
Honestly he could turn out great or turn out a huge bust. So many QBs drafted high have failed and QBs drafted after them have gone on to success. I never get attached to a specific name, I just hope the one we get works out. So go Bo Nix!!!
This sub is so confusing. If we didn’t take him there the raiders would have and y’all would have bitched about that. Idk how Bo Nix is gonna turn out but I’m glad we are finally taking a chance on a rookie it’s long over due.
Leaving this here for posterity. I really like this pick, for two reasons:
1. I genuinely like Bo Nix. He is a great first-read quarterback who fits Sean Payton’s system to a tee. He has good mobility and is an underrated athlete. His arm is at least average if not above average. He’s smart and great at reading defenses pre-snap. I think Payton will be able to scheme him really nicely. I think his ceiling is low-ish, but his floor is high.
2. Franchise QB is too important to not try. You’ve GOT to try to find your guy, and if you miss, you have to try again. We could NOT head into the season with a Stidham/Wilson QB room. Even if Nix doesn’t pan out this was the right choice.
The only thing I’ll add is that I wish we had traded down to get additional draft capital. But I think that ship sailed when the Falcons shocked the world and took Penix at 8. Broncos couldn’t risk trading down and having the Raiders take Nix and leaving them with no one.
