[Bengals]WITH THE 18TH OVERALL PICK ➡️ AMARIUS MIMS

  1. Praying this one hits, cuz he very well may end up as the best tackle in this class.

  2. Wild that this might be the only locker room where he’d be the 3rd largest man in the OL room

  3. Can learn under Trent Brown, and if he ends up playing like him this is an A+ pick

  4. It works for me. O line is expensive to pay in free agency. What the Bengals have done the last 2 years in free agency isn’t sustainable. Have to develop someone for the long haul. He’s not rushed to play right away and if Trent Brown can’t make it through he’s up.

  5. Someone is going to post highlight vids or scouting reports and everyone on here will fall in love with the pick by tomorrow. This is tradition with literally every draft pick for every fanbase.

  6. The thicc bois gotta keep Joey safe. If they do, screw defense, we’re putting up 40 every game on the way to the SB.

  7. Georgia fans say he’s better than the two that came before him, & just had to wait for his number to be called. Can he play guard for one year? We could have the largest o line & simply eat our opposition.

  8. Per ESPN:

**He has not surrendered a sack in 372 career pass-blocking snaps.**

  9. Best case scenario he doesn’t start more than a few games this year, plays the swing tackle, and takes over for Trent next year. I’m salivating at the idea of an over balanced jumbo package with three 6’8” 350+ pound guys on the same side of the line. Maybe we pick up a beefy tight end who can play some fullback and we play some smash mouth in the redzone

Edit: Best case scenario would actually be Mims dominating in camp, winning the job and becoming a solid tackle.

  10. 7’1″ wingspan is crazy. Ideally, development will turn this man into a moving wall.

  11. >”It looks like he was scientifically manufactured in an offensive tackle factory. Has an enormous frame in all directions with ideal weight distribution from top to bottom,” the service wrote. “It is hard to find bad weight on him. The abrupt snap he shows out of his stance with proper bend and flat back with inside hands is textbook. The elite play-strength is already there … as there are several flashes of him moving defenders at all levels against their will.”

    >NFL’s Lance Zierlein basically calls Mims a project, but also says he’s a first-round guy with upside as massive as his frame: “It is very rare to see him clearly beaten by a rusher, and he has the recovery talent to do something about it when it happens.”

He has a lack of experience, obviously, but I can understand why they didn’t want to pass up the talent based on what people are saying.

  12. Bears fan living in Kentucky with lots of bengals fans friends – you guys gotta call your O line the Skyline with how big those boys are. Good luck!!
