  1. I was wondering what would happen with that ball, glad to read a follow up that everyone got something cool.

It made me wonder how those negotiations go and if I was in that fan’s place what I’d ask for. That ball means nothing to me and I be happy to give it back. I’d probably rather have good seats to another game or something like that over memorabilia but who knows what they offer. I probably wouldn’t drive a very hard bargain over something like that I bet.

  2. Dodgers: “You mean you didn’t just lock him in a room and punch him in the kidney until he gave it to you?!”

  3. That’s great pete got the ball back and cubs security didn’t have to bully the fan.

  4. Solid trade for sure. The ball obviously is going to mean more to PCA, but for me, the bat would probably be a bit more cooler, especially as its getting auto’d, and the ball might not. Even without the auto, Id probably still take the bat for the ball.

  5. Getting the (signed) bat that was used to hit a first career HR has to be way cooler than having the ball, right? Like that’s a fantastic deal for all parties involved from an outside perspective.

PCA gets a much deserved memento, the fan gets something arguably way cooler, and nobody gets separated from their spouse and forced to make a decision under pressure (*glares at Los Angeles*)
