This whole things was a complete shit show by the umps from the get go.
>Desperately try and play game through bad weather. With mutual off day coming up.
>Stand around for 10 minutes to decide if they should call for the grounds crew.
>say the game will resume shortly.
>call the game after players had come back out on the field.
Total farce. 1 run game with 4 innings left. I can see why the Kansas City grounds crew didn’t want to do their job.
Sad day for Canada. And therefore, the world
If it took 4 innings to make an official game they would have only played 4.
It’s clear all they care about was getting the game in.
Not safety, not the fans, not the players, just the game being official
Today was a display of a ridiculous series of decisions from the umpiring crew. The rain was heavy enough that they could have put the tarp on earlier, waited for the rain to stop, and then had the grounds crew prep the field and play out the rest of the game.
Trying to play through those downpours ended any chance of a full and complete ballgame and was a total mistake.
such bs why not play the game tomorrow or at least finish off the remaining innings tomorrow… ahh disappointed Jays fan
When I saw a KC grounds Crews fat fuck dump ~75% of a bag of that sawdust type shit and twist the bag to wrap it up before the official rain delay I realized we were fucked.
Umps got an official game in, which I am sure is always the goal whenever possible. Avoids reschedules and doubleheaders.
SCORE MORE RUNS GOD DAMN IT.
Teams that can’t afford a roof over their head should automatically lose if the game gets rained out. Buy a damn roof you cheap fluckers
