He’s been good this year too, and I’m afraid he’s going to get some big offers. If I was the Utah owner, he’s the first call I’d make, and they have money to spend
I’ve been in CO since 2019 and I couldn’t agree more. My soul is Lightning.
Also, my body can’t handle buying a Fanatics “authentic” jersey for him on another team if he does leave. Because Stammer is was everything to driving my fandom for TB and I will honestly love him wherever he ends up.
Literally the only thing that matters to me
We will know if the rebuild has begun if they don’t. Resign stammer and the window is still slightly open. Let him walk and we are bidding time till we have picks again.
Hope the resigning goes smoothly.
Why? Other than our defense our main problem is we suck 5v5. Stamkos is only good on the PP.once the playoffs come, you can’t rely on that. This team is heading into a bad era because we overpaid players and traded away too many picks and prospects. Re-signing Stamkos will just be more of the same and delay our rebuild just so fans can feel good about him remaining on the team. Our window has closed. Time for everybody to realize this. Either we watch our team become irrelevant with the players we like for a few years and delay a rebuild or we accept our situation and start doing whats best for the near future
I think he goes somewhere else for another cup run. And he deserves it. Tampa should have extended him and we didnt. Wouldn’t be surprised if Detroit calls him up
It’s just a matter of what he will take. 6-7m, you 100% sign him back. If it’s 9-10m, you just can’t do it. My wife will literally try to break furniture and punch holes in the wall she will be so mad, then realize at 266 lbs, there’s a reason I can do it and she can’t. Lol.
