Did the guy at the end say he’s more like Aiyuk? And then say he’s a Deebo replacement?
I’ve read here there he’s a better Z receiver and a Deebo replacement
I needed this.
He also chose the 49ers and Chiefs as the winners of the day, at the end of the broadcast.
He’s already the 2nd best route runner on the team, and he blocks his ass off. No doubt Shanahan saw where the team was struggling against man in the Superbowl (and all season), and wanted to fix that.
I’ll be able to stomach the draft value better if we are able to move Deebo for an early 2nd

This is an honest reaction and he can’t believe we got better at that position. Cj recognizes his taken especially in our system. This is a great sign.
I don’t agree that he fills the BA role though. I think their idea was he’s a less physical Deebo with better hands.

CJ’s reaction has me thinking that he wanted them to keep 23 and take him there. Then, they traded for Diggs to show him that they are listening to their QB. The “I told you!” Makes it seem like he was against moving off of pick 23 because he wanted his guy.
I know nothing about this guy but I’m gonna believe he’s our version of Puka and ball out next season.
Both Ricky Pearsall and Brock Purdy are from Chandler, AZ. Just a fun fact for you. As someone from Chandler, this is pretty important in my book.

I hope we keep Deebo for another season but I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s moved now
He seems great hope his skills transfer to the NFL. This could be our future WR for purdy once Aiyuk and deebo get older
At the end of the way we decided to fill a want instead of a need and that’s fine if we believe that there is better value in filling our needs in the later rounds. That’s means the next 2-4 picks need to be in the secondary or on the offensive line.
I’ve been talking shit about our pick since we made it. CJ reacting like this made me feel like we did good cause CJ can ball.

I 100% get not liking taking a WR at this spot, I do I am luke warm on it at best…and I understand the fear of moving Deebo or Aiyuk. So I 100% get being less than thrilled in that regard.
With that in mind…look purely at the player…why are people acting like he is some scrub? Analysts had him going lower…ok…the teams boards aren’t the same as us folks on the couch. People acting like they just purposely chose some awful player. Since the pick was made I’ve read up on this guy and damn, I like the player a lot. If Deebo and Aiyuk are both here next year…I love our WR room, wow.
Waiting to see where things are at the end of the day Saturday before I make any judgement.
