won the night there’s so many I I feel
like there’s really not a loser in this
one but I think your former team the Los
Angeles Chargers I would say won the
night because at this point they needed
someone to protect their quarterback
they needed to run the football you go
out and get the best tackle in Joe Al he
can play right side he’ll be able to
Cave down that right side just let’s
look first of all just look at him
that’s a massive that is not a small
chair and those aren’t small people wait
till you see his dad hold on this is
what I’m talking about look his dad
can’t even get up he like I can’t help
me up now watch how big oh we didn’t
even see him but anyways play in the NFL
too yeah exactly so you have the lineage
the pedigree you have a guy that’s you
can play left tackle watch a move here
pull around we know Harbaugh loves the
Gap scheme the down and around schemes
uh to me you’re you’re building a this
is a culture piece it’s telling we want
to be physical we want to win now we
talked about his dad and we’re going to
get there in a second but look at this
look at the how it doesn’t even fit mask
right the pads you know how he’s built
you know how he was raised to me again

Malik neighbors was going to go off the

it’s who Jim Harbaugh is they’re
protecting him he’s going to jump right
in at right tackle and they’re going to
have to figure out something in in the
receiver position maybe tomorrow or the
next day to to fill it out so I I’m I’m
going to give you an opportunity to flex
here so I worked with him every Friday
on Total Access during the season you
kind of looked into the crystal ball and
you got one right actually you got a few
right but this this your Tweet dude you
actually you kept receipts he’s walking
around our Green Room showing everyone
like the only I got right I love this
yeah you know it’s what we said on the
combine show right we said hey the
Chicago Bears with Caleb Williams and
Roman dun like I think without a doubt
they won the night like it’s not even
close in my opinion they only had four
picks they had two in the first nine and
it take a receiver that’s going to play
for the next decade and a quarterback
that be there for the next 15 years like
that to me is absolutely winning the
night and it’s just so cool to see these
guys on the biggest stage they had two
in the green room they picked them both
and it’s like a plug andplay you got DJ
Moore you got Keenan Allen Rome DeAndre
Swift Pat like you are setting your
quarterback up for success for the Long
Haul and then talk about that defense as
well which we haven’t mentioned the last
10 games of the year they were top seven
in every category the Bears are here to
stay obviously you got to deal with the
Green Bay Packers and a uh and uh you
know Jordan love and you also have to
deal with the Detroit line so this to me
tells me that they’re all in on Caleb
Williams I think the football Gods knew
they were going to be on the same team
cuz they on the same flight from LA to
get to Detroit so that’s awesome could
you envision a better scenario for a
Young quarterback though he just
mentioned some of those wide receivers
my Lord there’s just studs all around
them well you want to obviously when you
have a quarterback you want to protect
him and put Playmakers around him the
Chicago Bears did a great job of doing
that throughout the free AG like you
mentioned to me you’re setting him up
for Success think of any other
quarterback the Bears have had I I want
to say jakay Cutler may be the only one
he had Brandon Marshall Matt Forte uh um
a couple other guys as well so to me
they they’re they’re trying to build
that offense up but it’s taking some
time to do that well they haven’t even
had a 4,000 yard passer or a 30 plus
touchdown passer in their history like
are you kidding me like I think Caleb
Williams he might do it this year with
that Shane Waldren style offense
everything that they’re doing Rams
Seahawks style under Center play action
just get Caleb Williams not to do too
much play Within the system and just be
a distributor of the football that’s
what we used to say back with caseyc and
and Andy Reid who’s got Patrick Mahomes
now Xavier worthy all those guys just be
a distributor of the football just get
your guys the ball in space let them do
the work don’t try to be hero yeah since
2021 fewest passing yards per game the
Chicago Bears something tells me with
some of the fire power that you guys are
referencing they’ll will be be in pretty
good shape are you cool if I get a bite
at the Apple oh let’s what you got how
about
Minnesota I mean this is a squad that we
felt like needed a quarterback and they
said you know what we’re going to move
up and go and get the guy and lock it in
JJ McCarthy who we actually had
yesterday on NFL Total Access he said he
would run through a wall for Kevin okell
well guess what he does get his wish and
he’s going to be there and then they
move up again to get arguably the best
defensive player in this draft an edge
guy in Dallas Turner who was in the SEC
play play of the year I know you were
kind of cringing here cuz that was
Jacksonville’s pick initially yeah you
know what I I thought the Jags when they
made that trade I was a little nervous
but uh again the Jags have two Edge guys
they just paid a guy 150 million so
Minnesota saw a spot they came up and
you get a guy look this is the thing
about Dallas turner He’s been the best
defensive end since he was in high
school right JJ uh McCarthy has been the
most he’s just a winner we talk about
you just want a guy that knows how to
win right he he had Playmakers around
him he’s used to winning I I want to say
it’s like something crazy like three
games he’s lost since high school or
something like that like he just knows
how to win and if you Wen trying to
change your culture you put two guys in
there that have done a great job career
yeah you talk about JJ McCarthy right
like that to me is the is the big deal
going up getting him at 10 and then just
what he’s able to bring to that offense
with uh like Jordan Addison Justin
Jefferson all those guys it just makes a
lot of sense for me look I had JJ as
like my third ranked quarterback and he
goes a little low like a little lower
than that but like I I think he’s going
to be able to play for a long time the
the biggest question for me is like is
he the day one starter we’ll get that
later in the show we got this whole
segment on it but I don’t know with
those weapons it is the absolute best
situation for a young rookie quarterback
to be in especially because it starts
with Kevin oconnell and then like you
were saying to go back up and get Dallas
Turner who in my opinion I mean other
than latu is like one of the best pass
rushers can play three four he’s dropped
like 90 snaps in coverage he can do it
all for you with that scheme that
they’re running I really do like like it
