I’m so hyped on this pick. The moment the Sugar Bowl ended I became a huge fan of this kid
I mean he was the 2nd defensive player taken so I’d HOPE you could make that argument lmao
but seriously though, we got so lucky that this dude fell so far can’t wait to see us finally get some interior pressure

Just watched the YT highlight reel, wow he’s big and strong and fast! He’s gonna be great.
Great to hear. Super solid pick. I don’t see how anyone can gripe about this one. We got gashed so many times up the middle last year. This is where it starts. Run D will be instantly improved for sure. A whole off season of Big Cat and Murphy working together should yield big dividends.
I like this philosophy of drafting for need and taking the best player available at the same time. Why don’t we do this all the time?
NGL.. our defense is straight up legit in the trenches now. Murphy is what we wanted in Carter, but without all the baggage, and we didn’t lose out on Witherspoon in the process. This line is going to be NASTY with at least two defenders demanding double teams.
I still have concerns about our defense, but it’s definitely not the defensive front anymore.
