  1. A win today could easily erase yesterday’s game. In fact did yesterday’s game even occur?

  2. Going to the game tonight, if they lose again I might have to stop going to games for the team’s sake (but that probably won’t be true lol). Pads are legit 0-3 in games I’ve attended so far this season with the only runs scored in those games being through solo home runs, I’m not joking

  3. This is where I am right now. This team is clearly not a finished product. You are what your record says you are, so they are about a .500 team, give or take a couple of games. I don’t think this team as currently constructed is equipped to go on some huge run. Not ideal, but not the worst thing in the world by far. This is not a bad team, we’re still relatively healthy, and there will be changes soon.

Manny moving back to 3B improves the team. Donovan Solano improves the team. We have guys like Alex Jacob and Jeremiah Estrada that will provide more balance to the BP corps. Good chance we see Adam Mazur in the second half of the season, he looks ready for AAA now and then presumably MLB later in the season. If this team is a few games above .500 at the trade deadline, then we’ll be in an ideal situation to add one major piece like a Luis Arraez to make a push. Maybe this is “copium” but I think this team looks different in another 2 weeks, and again in 2 months and 4 months. This will be a season of evolution.

  4. was really hoping we could have come into this series with some wins above .500, oh whale

  5. Randomly had “Centerfield” by John Fogerty pop up on my morning playlist, and man, if that doesn’t get you excited for another game of baseball tonight, you don’t have a pulse. I love baseball season. Let’s fucking go kick some Philly ass tonight.
