I’m calling it now: Either Roman Wilson, Troy Franklin, Ja’lynn Polk, or Malachi Corley will be ours by the end of the day

I do think JD is going to trade up but not high enough to draft Addonai Mitchell, Keon Coleman, or Ladd MCconkey who will all likely go early second. However, I don't think the gap between those three and these four is large enough to necessitate giving up a lot to trade up to early second which would likely require a future second. I believe that we should be able to snag one of them only giving up one of our fourth rounders (or a 2025 third) or a little extra to trade up. There are other WRs that might be available at 72 but the ones I listed are consistently considered the top 14 receivers of this draft compared to prospects like Devontez Walker, Jalen McMillan, Jermaine Burton, and Javon Baker.

Basically goes like this:

Tier 1A (need to trade up to early second): Keon Coleman, Addonai Mitchell, Ladd Mcconkey

Tier 1B* (need to trade up to mid to late second): Roman Wilson, Troy Franklin, Malachi Corley, Ja'lynn Polk

*this is my preferred and most likely option

Tier 2 (stay put at 72): Devontez Walker, Jalen McMillan, Jermaine Burton, and Javon Baker.

  1. Coleman is my guy…reminds me a lot of Brandon Marshall, I’d trade a future pick to help secure him but if we can’t do that give me Franklin or Polk

  2. add Jamari Thrash into tier 2. Kid is sneaky good, I see him as a really high floor prospect

  3. Doubt it.. lots of offensive players in round one and many teams will need their second rounders to plug defensive holes.. none is going to take late round picks and give up a hole to plug on defense.. I just don’t see it happening with how the draft is playing out this year.. If anything Id bank we package those later round guys and an early future pick for Higgins or Boyd but then those guys are going to want to get paid and that would be a cap problem for us.. I just don’t think we see a WR until round 3 for us this year..

  4. If I’m JD, I’m desperately throwing all my chips at moving up as high as possible in the 2nd to get one of the top WRs left.

After the early 2nd round, the percentage of successful impact WRs drops drastically.

  5. We know Bills are taking a WR to start the second round. Patriots at 34 and Chargers at 37 need WR’s. We could get fucked again.

  6. I love Ladd and Roman but idk I have a feeling that it’s going to be Troy Franklin

  7. I’m expecting a defensive heavy and WR heavy top of the second round. Not sure what’s it’s gonna take to get a guy in your first tier, probably giving up a 2nd in 2025.

To me I’m going after Roman, Franklin or Polk.

  8. Underrated aspect of the receiver target I think will be blocking ability. Right now the receivers on the roster are not good/willing blockers. Have to think a guy like Coleman, Corley, or Polk are high effort blockers. Troy Franklin might turn to dust trying to block. This is a total vibes assessment.

  9. WR group someone who wins the in the middle of the field and a vertical threat. Although Malachi Corley is the most intriguing WR of the bunch. He helps Rodgers get the ball out quickly and get those cheap yardage with the YAC threat.

  10. I’d fucking love Corley. A close 2nd would be Franklin and Polk, I’m not super high on Coleman— idk what everyone sees but I don’t see it either him.

  11. Absolutely no thanks on Coleman or Wilson. Pretty awful profiles on Reception Perception

  12. Ladd, Polk, Franklin, Roman.

No Coleman….bad separation quickness and route running. Plus he ran a 4.64 in the 40 time as WR.

  13. This is such a deep wr we don’t even have to trade up to get a solid one but I really wouldn’t mind trading up to get Polk, dudes underrated

  14. Corley or also Malik Washington would both be awesome for Rodgers. It’s like what if Randall Cobb wasn’t a corpse
