If Nets Can’t Land Donovan Mitchell, Who is Next Franchise Star?

The Nets need a starting point guard, not Donovan Mitchell.

Nets shouldn’t get Donavan Mitchell in the first place, and I don’t see a trade for him happening unless Cam Thomas is included. Of Thomas isn’t included, the fit between CT and Mitchell would be pretty questionable.
The next star would be blowing it up to get some lottery picks back and rebuilding. The Cavs are basically the Nets if we were patient, and they’re in a tier just below contenders. I’m not OK risking the next 10 years to be the 3 seed
