11/3/2 on 45/41/87 splits. Elite perimeter defense.
Caruso the last 3 years:
8/3/3 on 45/38/79 splits. Best perimeter defense in the league.
That off season will go down in history as 1 of the worst in NBA history. And I think it was a reminder to the rest of the teams in the league about the importance of retaining core pieces after proven success.

This trade really set the franchise back at least 5 years and outside of lucking into a Jokic/Giannis like late round pick that blossoms into a bonafide superstar the Championship window with LeBron is shut.
Just too many assets needlessly burned by this regime. Lopez, Caruso, the first round pick in this trade, whiffing on every MLE signing so far.
Such a joke that this front office is safe.
A lot of lakers fans wanted KCP gone after the playoffs. If it wasn’t this, it would have been the Buddy Hield trade that was being discussed. In hindsight Lakers keep him because he’s the perfect 2 to have as a role player. However he was very inconsistent and would have months where he would shoot like shit, very up and down guy here, but still a better option than none
they really panicked after our injured roster lost to the suns. that 2021 team was so stacked.
This all stems with Schroder betting on himself by not taking his offer which brought in Westbrook only for us to ship him off for Dlo Vando and eventually bring back Schroder again 💀
Solomon Hill cost us a championship in 21. And the Russ trade that following summer cost us our sanity for years to come.
The funny thing is they probably could’ve made back a bunch of the tax money by going deeper into the playoffs over several years with Caruso and keeping KCP.
It kind of was. Also hiring Ham.
And also, frankly, the seeding this year.
Do you think we’re getting swept by any of the other 6 teams in the conference? Hell, I feel they’d have a good chance to beat anyone else.

Actually the problem was replacing Westbrook with Dlo – a similar headcase, but less talented. Westbrook would’ve been more helpful in the playoffs over these last two seasons.
It’s just crazy that I play 2k and I was like —hmmm that doesn’t work that’s a bad fit. Yet there are people who get paid millions of dollars and still couldn’t figure that out.
Most of lakers nation knew this was a bad move. They rectified it with some solid roster moves but the coaching change was bad.

Honestly, we should’ve protested. Sounds lame but this was so bad it’s hard to imagine it actually happened.
I followed kcp on the gram. He was taking lessons from lethal shooter and posting about them. The humility of that alone told me this guy is doing whatever it takes to be better. And fuck he got hella good
Our 2021 team is forgotten and sadly so. We were heavy favorites to repeat, we made the finals sun who were up 2-0 vs the bucks look like kids on the floor with us… WITH a hobbled LEBRON n AD. Injuries and Solomon bitch hillfuck screwed us over and we overracted
