  1. I’m not making a statement on this draft – I give credit to Beane for making tough but necessary moves – but the whole “trust the process” motto should be buried. We trusted the process year after year and now we’ve cut or traded most of the key pieces on this team and are back at the rebuild phase.

Edit: wow, lots of sensitive folks here. My definition of a rebuild is when a team makes the switch from pursuing a championship right now to not actively prioritizing winning a championship in the current season. I don’t think any rational person believes the Bills are one of the top contenders for a Super Bowl win in 2024, including our management. They are making moves with an eye towards the future, at least 2025 if not further. I don’t think making the playoffs is even a priority or expectation for them, but might happen just by virtue of being in a pretty piss poor division with a lot of question marks this year. A “retool” is when you replace a few major pieces with other major pieces to try to remain competitive immediately – we have not done that as of yet – we just got rid of major pieces to make cap space and collect picks for the future.

  2. Getting worked up over the draft is silly IMO. The bust rate is insanely high. We don’t know if teams have a good draft or bad draft until years later.

The draft is just a publicity event for the NFL to keep the league in the headlines throughout the offseason

  3. I’d like him to continue trading every single pick. I don’t know how it would work, but I wanna see it

  4. Trust the process is tired. It’s been 6 years since we got Josh. Make a fucking Super Bowl

  5. The Bills moved down 5 spots and in return, they made the following upgrades:

    * Pick #133 moved up 38 spots to Pick #95
    * Pick #200 moved up 59 spots to Pick #141
    * Pick #133 moved up 27 spots to Pick #221

No need to freak out. It seems like the Bills have their eyes on a specific player that is still available at the start of round 2. (Maybe its McConkey, or Mitchell, or Corley… IDK)

But if that is true, then moving down is a no brainer. The Bills are not 1 player away from winning the super bowl, they need to add depth and these trades aim to do just that.
