  1. Yeah let’s see how much playing time he even gets as a rookie in Shananhans system even if Deebo is traded

  2. Absolutely zero chance he gets 100 balls in this offense ATM but I’m very interested what this leads to. I wonder if shanahan and Brock are about to link up for just absolutely airing it out this year. Shanahan seemed like he wanted Brock to throw more as the season progressed

  3. I really hope drafting Pearsall is one step towards a more pass-heavy offense.

Shanahan is a master at developing run schemes, but the passing game is and always will the most efficient way to move the ball and score points.

  4. I’m going to do it again, just like I did with Jalen Hurd. Draft Ricky in my fantasy team in the 3rd round because hi is on my team hype.

  5. Yeah listen guys, our team went from averaging 30 a game to 17 a game when Deebo was out. Even if he doesn’t see a ton of production in the first few weeks, he’s an insanely good depth piece for the moment. That’s if he doesn’t outright steal Jauan Jennings’ job. Which I would be horrendously sad about cause I love Jennings.

  6. An underrated part of this is that if we throw more the wear and tear on CMC will lessen, hopefully making him more effective and less likely to get injured.

  7. He was catching balls from Graham Mertz, who is hot dog shit. Absolutely terrible quarterback. People can feel however they want about the pick. None of my business. But the combination of Purdy and Pearsall is a pretty intriguing fit.

  8. I like the pick but I’m not buying any major criticism or hype. Let’s just see how he does, we won’t know till its real.

  9. The offense is clearly becoming more passing oriented (relatively speaking), but ain’t no way he’s getting 100. He could probably carry that load though; dude has carried the Gators’ offense for two years straight.

  10. Is there a such thing as a “hidden riser”? If so this guy seems like he fits that bill. Definitely a pick geared towards being ready for a future without one of our top receivers.

  11. I do believe this is our two timeline happening. I feel like Jimmy era is fading out and the guys he did well with (Kittle, Deebo) are gonna slowly phase out. shanahan has his young QB and wants to build a new team around him that can all grow together. Just feels like the new era is already coming in

  12. I guess that quote wasn’t about the 49ers because if he gets 100 catches as a rookie on this team, it’s most likely bad news. Last season BA had 75, Deebo had 60, Kittle and CMC were in the mid 60s. There’s just too many weapons for anyone to get to 100.

And when I say bad news, I include Deebo or BA getting traded away in that, but even if one of them isn’t on the team it would take another one of our offensive weapons not playing.

  13. I think it was pretty apparent we need a pure route runner who can dominate the slot and take advantage of matchups, Deebo fell short in this aspect, for me, I keep seeing how bad his route running was in the Baltimore and Kansas City games.
We can get a tackle of the same caliber in the 2nd that we could’ve grabbed at 31.

  14. The amount of dick riding towards the coaching and front office of the 49ers is appalling.

  15. I wonder if Shanny sees him as his Puka.

Elite level short area quickness for both of if I remember their combine stuff correctly

    Blocks.

  16. No one is saying he’s a bad player. But it’s not gonna matter when we have parts of the O line that block worse than I could lol. I would’ve at least attempted to block Chris Jones, you know, the best player on the other team. I just don’t really understand the pick unless we’re trading deebo

  17. I don’t watch college football but I just went and watched some highlight reels. Dudes explosive, tough, high points the ball and runs a clean route. It’s gonna be fun to watch him. Love that he isn’t afraid of the middle of the field
