  1. Huge get! High RAS score box safety with the athleticism to learn to be more disciplined as a higher safety. He loves to hit and make plays. I trust McD to turn this kid into an absolute beast!

  2. I trust this coaching staff implicitly on their assessment of players in the secondary (with one notable exception who I’m still irrationally hoping will pan out).

  3. Think he becomes our Free safety or strong?   Looked free in the highlights  but close the line of scrimmage like poyer.

  4. I’m so confused. Why didn’t they take Cooper Dejean first at 33 and then a wr that is available? Like Brendan rice or someone. They did it backwards and arguably got worse players at each position. But trust the process I suppose. Not big on Coleman. FSU guys don’t pan out well in Buffalo

  5. Friend of mine that actually watches college football said this is a great pick and Bills fans will love him so I agree and think my friend is very smart and handsome.

  6. There are a couple safety prospects I liked more than him. But if mcD likes this kid who am I to argue. This coaching staff and scouting dept knows safeties.

  7. Massive Utah fan here, I’ve watched every game in his collegiate career, many in person. He’s been one of my favorite players on the team the past few seasons.

Bishop is the definition of a dawg at the safety position. He excels in run stopping, and will lay down absolutely violent tackles. He’s always around the ball, and our d coordinator even had him play around the LOS a fair bit.

I would say coverage isn’t the strongest point of his game, but that being said he isn’t bad in the slightest in that regard.

I believe he has a high likelihood of panning out and making a good career in Buffalo. I’m so excited he landed on a contender.

  8. If y’all could stop taking the awesome players from Utah so they could fall to the Vikings that’d be great.

After watching him in college I was really hoping Minnesota would snag him to take over for Smith.

Like I thought when you drafted Kincaid, I think you just drafted a hell of a player.

  9. Awesome pick. We now have someone playing deep who is capable of chasing down the fastest receivers in the league. We sorely needed this.

  10. I watched every game he played at Utah.  You’re getting a guy that’s really athletic,  great football instincts/IQ, and a good tackler that hits hard.  He showed his athleticism at the combine.   He’s been pretty healthy and if that continues in the NFL then you got yourself a good one.

  11. I thought when Franklin fell to us we were gonna double up at WR, but I am very happy with this pick. Good player that can (likely) start, fills a position of need, and brings a skillset that our backfield could definitely use.

  12. Good S play is very important in a McD led D. I like it. Physical guy who will make people think about goin into the middle of the field

  13. If there’s one thing I trust from McD it’s DBs. No one thought Micah and Poyer would be one of the best tandems for years. McD knows what he is doing back there. Taron is a stud. Tre was a stud.

  14. Box safety. Tackler. Gap filler. Bigger body safety. Can blitz. Ability to play at depth is a question mark. Very smart – film guy. Called adjustments for Utah.
