  1. They drafted all 3 positions of need. Haters proceed to shut the fuck up and touch grass

  2. Is Owenu going back to guard or is Wallace switching sides? He’s a RT.

edit: seems like Wallace is switching to LT. If he can play then I love it.

  3. Never played LT and ESPN has him ranked in the 130’s. In case you still thought this was all Bill’s fault.

  4. Is it really that big of a deal to move back in later rounds in order to get your early-round guy?

KC is smart. We should have traded up

  5. Can someone explain why we’d take an RT with Onwenu already there? I’d this guy a Vollmer type of project for LT?

  6. I am glad we drafted an OT but I mean there 5 higher ranked OTs on ESPN than this guy who was projected to be at best a 4th round pick. Idk why we wouldn’t draft Goncalves

  7. The theme of this draft? Settling. Every pick thus far falls into this category.

  8. I’m just disappointed we didn’t trade up for a LT we wanted. Not to bash this pick but would’ve been nice

  9. Disappointing turn of events here. To just miss out of Suamataia and not take Amegadjie.

We have two 4th rounders now, how are we not calling to try and get into the 50s?

  10. They are atleast drafting on offense.. but is he going to play LT, do they see him more as a G

  11. Yikes.. that dude would’ve been available a round later. Smh never even played LT in college. Wtf is this team doing

  12. Consensus big board #178 from mock draft database. Patriots got worked by the board at tackle.

  13. Kind a panic pic. We did not adress your needs in FA and now we choose a OL at a position that we dont need.

  14. The amount of negativity from you shitty fans that think you know everything is such a drain. Can we support the picks instead of just instantly bashing every damn one?

Edit: The first three tackles that have been drafted since Wallace are all ranked lower than him on ESPN. Clearly multiple teams have the ones above Wallace graded poorly as well.

  15. Love how everyone here is an expert on tackle play. 😂

We needed a big hoss and we got one. Let’s see how they coach him up.

  16. I’m not sure what I am more disappointed by…this pick or the fact that they didn’t try to trade up to ~60 to get in front of the obvious tackle run that was coming.

  17. I think Wallace is an NFL lineman. But probably not the LT we’re looking for. Wallace should have been a target in the 5/6th to help push Sow and Strange. Not in love with this pick. Not with actual LTs there like Kiran and Foster.

  18. Eh. I like the Maye pick but thus far it just feels like a normal Pats draft where they could have probably gotten guys later than they took them. But I’m just a nobody so who cares. Welcome aboard Caedan.

  19. Reached about 50 picks for this guy so….it’s the New England way. It would only make it better if he was from Rutgers

  20. This was a depth pick not drafting to be an immediate starter. Don’t think we’re done drafting tackles there are some developmental tackles available later in draft.

  21. Cards just picked 156 on the overall ranking and 19th ranked tackle…it’s almost like you guys should stop worrying about what ESPN grades lineman you’ve never watched

  22. I have to turn the draft off now… my wife just got home and she’s asking me a million questions about the draft. I can’t take it anymore. 🙄

  23. Would have preferred sliding up and getting Kingsley but Im not a scout so ill trust the process. The packers were good drafters when Wolf was there, he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

If there’s one thing I *am* sure about, its that everyone in this thread had watched a grand total of 0 minutes of Caedan Wallace tape

  24. I’ve never understood what people mean by “reaches”. So, according to guys on the internet there is a certain order that players should go in, despite the fact that you can easily go back and find busts that literally go top 10 every year.

Anyone could go in and draft whoever ESPN says is the “best player available”- whatever the fuck that means considering they most likely aren’t based on simple probability – and fans/media would say they got great value. When will people recognize this “value” is an educated guess that has proven over and over again to be oftentimes dubious?

  25. Don’t know much about Polk or Wallace, but from reading everyone else’s player rankings, looks like the Pats are trying to be smarter than everyone else and reaching like hell. If these two don’t pan out, everyone gone in 2 years anyway.

  26. This sub: omg are you kidding? We draft a WR second when none of that matters if you don’t have an OL!

Wallace Pick: omg ARE YOU KIDDING we didn’t trade up for xyz?

    Y’all are miserable

  27. The patriots could draft Jesus Christ and this sub would say “idk they could have waited til day 3 to get him. Bad pick”

  28. Look, we needed QB, WR, and LT, and we got all 3 (assuming this kid successfully switches to LT, which, fingers crossed) in the first 3 picks. I’m calling it a win that we didn’t do anything weird.
