  1. Fuckers in school telling me, always in the barber shop Kiran Amegadjie ain’t bout this, Kiran Amegadjie ain’t bout that… SHUT THE FUCK UP! Y’all mfs ain’t know shit. All ya motherfuckers talk about Kiran Amegadjie ain’t no hitta. Kiran Amegadjie ain’t this. Kiran Amegadjie a fake. SHUT THE FUCK UP … Motherfuckers stop fuckin’ playin’ him like that. Them dudes is savages out there. If I catch another motherfucker talking sweet about Kiran Amegadjie I’m fucking beating the ass! I’m not fucking playing no more!

  2. He was a top 30 pick, probably last one they would consider drafting with everyone else coming off the board already.

  3. Definitely setting up Caleb to succeed. It’s hard to have too much BEEF BLOCK. Get a good DL and I think it’s a great draft.

  4. Helps to add the depth and Poles has shown good results when drafting o lineman. I love that the Bears are finally starting to use draft capital on offense. All of Poles’ first round picks in his time here have been to build the offense. It really seems like things are changing

  5. Cool. Swing tackle to develop that can take over Larry Borom’s job. If either Braxton or Darnell goes down with an injury, let’s see how he does.

  6. From Dane Brugler:

    > A three-year starter at Yale, Amegadjie lined up at left tackle the last two seasons in Yale’s multiple run scheme. After not playing football until midway
    > through high school, he put himself on the NFL radar with his ascending play in the Ivy League, although his season-ending injury in 2023 was disappointing — he
    > missed half of his final season and NFL scouts were unable to see him face better competition at the Senior Bowl. From a size and athletic standpoint, Amegadjie pops
    > on film, because of his rare length, light feet and smooth body control to mirror pass rushers or create momentum as a run blocker. Though he does a great job
    > repositioning his hands and feet, his inexperience is also apparent when it comes to timing and adjustment fundamentals. **Overall, Amegadjie is a raw prospect who
    > needs technical and strength work before he sees live NFL reps, but his physical ingredients and competitive drive are the foundational elements that pro coaches
    > want to develop. He projects as a backup left tackle as a rookie who has all the tools to gradually develop into an NFL starter.**

  7. Was hoping it was gonna be the trenches & Kiran is gonna be a dog once developed. Love it.

  8. Interesting pick, because he looks very much a left tackle kind of prospect rather than a flexible depth piece, but honestly get that Larry Borom the heck out of here and make sure Brax has injury cover/competition if he doesn’t keep improving is probably sensible. High upside for sure

  9. Can’t hate it, DL is gonna be in rough shape next year but Poles reaching for need at 75 wouldn’t make a ton of sense. Hopefully Kiran can be a good swing year 1

  10. If you consistently spend day 2 and 3 picks on offensive line you should theoretically always have a solid o line at worse.

  11. 24 career starts at LT and RG, probably good depth and possibly a future starter, dude has real upside with his traits.

  12. High upside, played low level competition, probably beats out Borom for swing tackle at the very least (and maybe Borom moves to OG?)

  13. Let’s gooooooo love this pick! This guy has outstanding size and while I think he needs to work on some stuff before he could be considered a starter he most definitely is the type of guy who will put in the work to improve his game.

  14. Oline, from Hinsdale, and 420.69 RAS. Cant say Im surprised with 3 those factors combined

  15. Anyone know our cap space still left? I feel like Poles is going to try and trade for an experienced Edge the way this draft has gone.

  16. His arms go down to his knees! If they coach him up right we might have our future LT.

Btw, Caleb called him right after the Bears did.

  17. If you can’t have elite cornerstones on the offensive line then quality depth and versatility are the next best thing to have. Any day 2 OL will be an improvement over Patrick and Whitehair. This tracks with what they did in FA trading for Bates – officially he’s a center but he started as a guard. Would have liked to see an Edge or DT though.

  18. Great swing tackle. Guy has major upside but needs time to grow. Have him learn behind Jones and Wright for a few years then potentially take over as LT if Braxton leaves. Great pick.
