White Sox GM: Record ‘frustrating,’ but rebuilding ‘takes time’

So it is a rebuild?

  1. Hate to think how long an external hire would’ve taken to rebuild since according to JR “With his existing knowledge of the organization, top to bottom, I believe his leadership will provide us with the quickest path forward to our goal, a consistently successful baseball team that competes and plays the game the right way. He will re-energize this organization.”

  2. “This takes time” but the boss specifically says he knows the “quickest path” ? The one stupid lip-service answer the GM chooses to blab to the fans, is the one the Owner told us not to worry about. Can these guys just go away? Like, put the keys on the desk, leave the office door open and just go away and try to find some happy way to live your life.

  3. The reality is that it will take a couple years for the Sox to put something together.

The problem is that Jerry promised quick, but he hired a yes-man who is in way over his head.

  4. Not a fan of the “steady” comment describing Pedro and his performance. He’s shown he’s steady making fans disappointed. Please just put Charlie Montoyo who has more experience and would be a more clear cut choice.
