This isn’t news. It is a no brainer.
It’s the right thing to do…and a tasty way to do it

He had his best year, just had his worst game of the year at the worst time!
Smart call, keep a talented DB around. Especially with Wards concussion history, it’s great to have 3 legitimate starters available
Funny that this report comes out AFTER the draft, when none of the top CBs fell to the Browns.
Duh.
Love it.
Win win win on all sides.
Ward is THAT DUDE.
MJ had a hell of a year. Definitely our #2.
Can Newsome step up? He was solid all year save for a couple games where he really got burned all day.
On our end, you won’t find a cheaper CB of his caliber. He also already knows the system and his coaches.
On his end, he gets a chance to prove himself for a career deal next year with a needy team. I don’t see the browns keeping him past this year, but if he has a standout year, I don’t see why they wouldn’t keep him around.
AB likes keeping players we drafted around. Heck, there is a reason why we went after Cade York again for development reasons.
Good corners don’t grow on trees. Thank god we are keeping him.
