  1. We had a great draft. Got the positions we needed and heavily added some solid offensive pieces.

We got Maye who was the consensus number two all year and even some people argued for him being one. I liked him more than Daniels and glad we got him.

Polk is a very reliable receiver I think he’s a high floor guy, I wanted Mitchell pretty strongly but after hearing about his character issues and everything I can absolutely see why we went Polk. Could’ve argued for guys with more potential but can’t complain a whole lot other than maybe trading down a bit further.

I really liked the baker pick, I think he can be a true x, and has that personality that shows confidence. Very underrated pick.

Wallace is solid, only has played rt but apparently has good footwork so the transition for him to go to left tackle isn’t as difficult for him as it is for some. I don’t know much about the offensive linemen after the first two rounds, but I was hoping for Kiran here and it seemed like a bit of a reach but after a certain point the draft is a little unpredictable and I trust them more than myself.

Robinson is a solid pick also nothing crazy but nothing horrible. I wanted Walker or Franklin with one of our fourths but seeing we got baker made this pick a little better. More guard comp can’t hurt especially with strange being a question mark and not living up to his draft position. Probably going to be him and sow if I had to pick.

Not much to say about dial and Milton. I probably wouldn’t have taken Milton but if they do plan to move him to tight end which I’ve heard both sides of the rumors I’m hear to try with a late pick. Also can’t hurt to practice against to prepare vs some teams and with an arm that big you never know I suppose although reading defences and accuracy isn’t a strong suit for him. I wouldn’t of minded trading those two picks and moving back to the fifth and taking cam hart, or Abrams draine if they wanted a cb, felt like those two had more potential and a higher floor, or that tackle from Texas named jones. But all in all can’t complain too much with 6th round picks.

Don’t mind the bell pick either. Obviously he’ll be a cut candidate but with his weight he could be a decent versatile option for short yardage plays. Don’t expect him to be a significant piece at the tight end position tho.

  2. This whole thing is a crapshoot, and usually it’s hard to know right away if the guys you “think” are gonna be good are actually gonna ball.

However, the media has mostly gotten us right the the past few, baffling, head-scratching drafts have led to bad teams. So, I’m hoping they’re right here too.

  3. There’s another article on there about day 3 guys with the most potential to boom, and Javon Baker is the first one listed. I think we made out pretty good.

  4. The most confusing pick to me, unless the plan is to switch him to something like TE, is Joe Milton. I get that he was a late Day 3 pick, but he’s not even a “high upside guy”. He’s objectively horrible at everything a QB has to do outside of having an insane arm, and he’s old so it’s not like he’s going to make some sort of historic leap development wise.

I would’ve preferred an RB because Stevenson is a FA after this season and probably won’t, or shouldn’t, be re-signed, Gibson is a short-term third down back, and Harris is just meh.

  5. No one knows how the draft will grade out for several years now. It’s all a bit of a crap shoot. So the only question that should be asked of these drafts is, did they address areas of need? Yes. Ok, so passing grade. Now we wait and see.

  6. These draft grades are meaningless, the dude gave 1/3 of the league an A or A+ and it was mostly based on draft position and getting your guy early in the draft.

  7. I didn’t care that someone rated our performance through round 3 as bad, and I don’t care that someone rated our whole draft as good.
