Hope they work something out. The timing of the request, and Tee’s second, seemed obviously strategic with the draft. Now that neither moved and they didn’t draft a direct replacement, both sides can negotiate with better context. Having said that, no idea if they’ll add more guarantees with a restructure.
It will be interesting to see how they work it out. If they add another year he could retire at 33 and be set for life financially. We can’t afford to lose him though.
Exactly. If you’re the Bengals you can’t let this fester. I am not sure that anything will be ironed out but you have to at least try and show that you are taking Trey’s concerns seriously.
After hearing the story from whit himself, I have absolutely ZERO faith that troy/Katie will do the right thing.
It’s to my understanding the next two years of his contract aren’t guarenteed. Maybe there is some wiggle room there to make both parties happy.
