Vaughn Grissom and Garrett Cooper are going to completely change the look of the lineup

Might not be the exact order, but this is a very serviceable lineup and very possibly might even been above average. Amazing considering we lost Casas/Story how solid it could be.

  1. Dalbec DHing since Cora got beef with Masa 😂 jk shit looks pretty solid with 2 noticeable players out

  2. Hopefully a lot more production from that side of the infield soon. Grissom went 4-4 in his last rehab game today so hopefully he starts hot in Boston.

  3. If Tyler keeps hitting like he is I think I like him in the 2 spot even more. That’s if we have someone who can give Raffy a bit of protection in the 4 spot

  4. Gotta have Devers hitting second imo. Priority should be getting him as many ABs as possible.

  5. Why would Cooper bat 2nd, the wisdom now is to have your best hitter hit 2nd.

    1 – Duran L (pretty straightforward)

    2 – O’Neill R (O’Neill is our best hitter rn)

    3 – Devers L (he’s either 2 or 3, I just like O’Neill more rn)

4 – Wong R (on fire so move him up)

    5 – Abreu L (ditto Wong)

6 – Grissom R (I think six is a good starting spot, if he struggles switch with Cooper)

7 – Yoshida L (a bit cold could see him switch with Abreu depending on who’s hot)

8 – Cooper R (solid 8 spot, not a bad hitter just that I like other guys more)

9 – Rafaela R (Rafaela is probably the worst hitter in this lineup so 9, that said, he’s still valuable as a defender)

  6. Not for nothing, but that’s a respectable lineup IMO. Combine that with our pitching I think we might actually have a potential wild card team. Especially if the guys can continue to keep us in it while we get healthy.

  7. Duran

    Devers

    O’Neill

    Abreu

    Wong

    Yoshida

    Cooper

    Grissom

    Rafaela

Maybe something like that. Devers should only hit 2nd or 4th, and with no Casas 2nd is clearly the spot for him

3rd isn’t as important of a spot in the order but O’Neill’s been there so far and it’s been good. Though O’Neill 4th with Cooper/Grissom 3rd could be a good idea too

Basically, as long as your two best hitters are hitting 2nd and 4th I’m happy with the lineup

Also would really like to see Yoshida leadoff
