Pretty solid commitment for a UDFA

  1. Randolph is the only name that jumps off the page as a potential UDFA to make the roster. Unless Austin Reed absolutely blows Tyson Bagent out of the water.

  2. That is a real commitment for a UDFA – more money than a full time practice squad minimum.

Definetly getting a look to fill out the DL.

  3. Excited for him….that Illinois team defensively just got worn down in 2023. The offense was inconsistent and by the end of the season the Illinois defense couldn’t stop anyone. KR and Newton were monsters when they were kept fresh in that 2022 season.

  4. Shit, Randolph Jr got paid pretty well for an UDFA. I thought this guy was a sure fire 4/5th Rounder. If he declared for the draft last year he’d of faired much better IMO.

  5. That tells me they envision him rounding out the bottom of DT depth chart.

It’s interesting because I thought the whole reason of trading away our day 3 picks and taking a punter in the 4th was because Poles did not like the day 3 options.

But then he trades back in for Booker and gives this commitment to a UDFA, maybe he did want more picks than he traded away?
