Carolina didn’t run as fast in the 40
but the tape was outstanding I saw the
same thing here with chavan Sanders that
469 I think folks thought thought he
would run much faster than that but the
play speed is what you pay attention to
and it was excellent there for the Texas
Longhorns unbelievable hands he can go
up and get it the catch and run here he
is against Baylor working down the seam
the one-handed pluck and go so he’s a
playmaker he’s you’re drafting him for
what he’s going to give you in the
passing game not so much in the Run game
but down here in the Red Zone again you
see some of that route feel and Route po
to be able to get into the end zone he’s
going to be an asset for Bryce young at
third down weapon middle of the field

plays Right Guard has the real kind of
unique wide stance that he operates out
of excellent First Step quickness you’ll
be able to get in get on guys
early also has I thought really good
eyes so when you think about awareness
of an interior offensive lineman do you
see things do you see games can you
adjust to him see some of the
athleticism here as he works to reach
and seal I thought the overall instincts
the intelligence was there also had real
strong inside hand so I think he’s got
the capabilities of being a starter as a
guard in this league in the fourth round
there’s value there and if he shows that
capability Peter Michael wenu who’s been
there fix it guy play everywhere for
them right now penil in at guard but he
had a lot of success as a right tackle
as a rookie in this league maybe you
kick him out there even though they
drafted Kaden Wallace earlier in this uh
this session Robinson is versatile so he
played guard those first two years those
last year and can move along so I think
for your New England it’s give me the
pieces we’ll figure it out and to your
point the depth chart it is fluid and
we’ll see how it works out so the uh
Patriots are going to pick again in
seven picks that’s a pick that they got
from the Chargers so the Chargers could
move up is the first trade of last night

select Adrien Taylor demerson defensive

Tech a big time playmaker here they’ve
added some speed and playmaking ability
in the back end in the draft this is a
center fielder the production is
excellent four interceptions this year
very rangy and also has that ability CD
you were referencing it to be able to do
multiple things you can drop him inside
he can play in the nickel as well so
when you have that 441 speed you have
the ability to make plays on the
football and you have the versatility
that’s a nice chest piece there Peter
when you’re looking at trying to up
upgrade a defense that as you look at
the stats from last year 31st in points
per game last and third down 30th in
sacks 27th in takeaways they they
weren’t good they weren’t good they were
not good and if you look at who their
head coach is it’s JG who’s not only a
defensive coach he was a defensive backs
coach for a long time so when you see
these picks of Melton and Jones and now
Taylor demerson I would assume the head
coach has a very big voice in that as he
is a defensive back expert and this is
an area of need on the Cardinal roster
and think about your division what you
have to do with these defensive backs
you add him into the safety spot you got
Jaylen Thompson Buddha Baker but we play
a lot of three safety but it looks now
in the NFL for that guy who can drop
down control the run and defend against
the pass this is hey how’s it going how
are you clot un real hey Detroit who’s
got it better than you right
now yeah yeah all right here we go with
the 105th pick in the 2024 NFL draft the
LA Chargers select Justin abobe
defensive end
Alabama yeah big physical defensive
lineman so you get someone who’s almost
300 lb out of Alabama you know he’s been
coached extremely well he can play as
that defensive end they’ll also use him
as a tilted nose so he’ll just be a
little bit on the edge of the center I
thought this was a high effort player I
didn’t think the ability blew me away
when I watched him but the motor and the
effort was outstanding he can really
beat up tight ends on the edge and he
can really Chase plays down with effort
from the backside this is a temperament
pick style of player here for Jim
Harbaugh I just think real quick
Harbaugh he saw Alabama he saw Georgia
he’s seen Notre Dame the pick so far
seems like Jim has seen these guys at
the college level Alabama of course and
one of Rich’s favorite games of all
time with the 106th pick in the 20124
NFL draft the Tennessee Titans select
Cedric Gray I like linebacker UNC so
they didn’t get to the 1K but they got a
pretty on good player yeah he’s the best
linebacker available I thought he would
be gone last round I’m a little
surprised he’s still sticking around
excellent cover ability he’s an
outstanding Blitzer and as you’ll see
here the eyes work well as well the
change of Direction able to read and
react and make a play In Space the
coverage ability that I discussed look
if you can’t cover it linebacker right
now you cannot get on the field or stay
on the field the way the game is played
the instincts here he is again we have
to show the App State really
guys put that one thanks Ben uh then you
see him again here as a Blitzer CD I
mentioned that reference there what he
can do athletic linebacker I like this
move a lot and how about quick a little
bit of a legacy move you remember the
guy they had before came came from Zach

State oh so you get a big tall fast
linebacker you see the size they’re
almost 2 60 lbs he runs like a wide
receiver he ran 457 which is a
ridiculous time for a tight end I
thought he aced the spring from what we
saw at the Senior Bowl the All-Star
circuit he was excellent there then the
combine the pro day you name it that’s
where he really upped his stock they
Flex him out in the slot they’ve got
another tight end you see him 44 right
there he’s going to be a high pick in
next year’s draft class so a lot of
places to spread this ball around but
you could see the athleticism here CD
and Peter you think about the New York
Giants and you think about a tall rangy
ath tight end another one came to mind
Darren Waller would be the name and I’m
sure Ian’s got some juice on that but
you know Theo obviously comes in with
his own career but they are estc static
on this one another guy I thought would
go day

Oregon they said from Oregon this is a
rare four school player he started out
at Alabama then was at two junior
colleges and then ended up there at
Oregon height weight speed this is a big
Corner 63 almost 6’4 194 lbs didn’t run
as fast as I thought he would ran 4 five
Flat City I thought he would end up
running much faster than that cuz he’s
very explosive he’s got loose hips for a
big guy he can really gain ground and
recover um I thought Miss tackles were a
little bit of an issue there and anytime
you’ve been at that many different stops
teams are doing their homework as well
yeah they’re doing their homework and
some of that comes from every place you
go it’s a new coach it’s a new technique
it’s a new style but he does not lack
for confidence he wants to step up and
play all the time and you got the Lions
fans booing Peter but this is a kid that
right now would walk into that room and
say I want to defend a man rosing Brown
on third down and he’s the type of guy
who wants to jump out there and give it
an opportunity yeah they held on to that
23rd pick which everyone thought they
would have to mortgage to move up to get
McCarthy they move up and get Turner and
now they get a corner on day three
that’s to sacrifice you move up a couple
of picks but they’ll be very happy with
those three in their first three picks

the tape that was fantastic uh very
twitched up a little bit of a tweener
it’s interesting that he goes to the
Atlanta Falcons because Grady Jarrett
that’s what he would aspire to be an
inside penetrating defensive tackle with
outstanding quickness so that’s a a
great fit for him also I thought there
was a chance the Atlanta Falcons CD they
might take Byron Murphy at pick number
eight this is like the next level down
but a similar style of player they got
here with great value in the fourth
round let’s examine this very quickly
Grady Jared has been good for so long if
they win the Super Bowl against New
England he’s likely the MVP he wrecked
them that day ruk Aurora was a little
bit of a surprise pick for them in the
second round kind of raw inside player
David anamat is there whoever the
defensive line coach is in Atlanta Peter
he’s got his work cut out for him
because he’s got some guys coming in
that need to learn how to play that
position but they have the tools to do

loved throwing him the ball we saw him
at that at that big 12 pro day he was
the best in show remember he went to the

yeah he did a nice job there in Dallas
so a good football player he’s going to

him around I like them better down low
closer to the line of scrimmage I
thought we was most comfortable and CD
when you look at what they’ve done here

well as free agency linebackers safeties
they have tried to really fix the spine
of that

Mississippi State it is not it is a the
caman Richardson pick out of Mississippi
State yeah this is a very raw player but
we’ve already seen it with Kyrie Jackson
the height weight speed Corners upside
type players this is what you’re getting
in round number four he ran
434 at over 6’2 so outstanding height
weight speed here but very raw in
coverage that was a rough day at the
office against Neighbors in LSU after
getting a record amount of quarterbacks
chosen in the Dozen first dozen picks
six at first 12 never happened before
we’ve now gone 100 straight picks
without a quarterback it’s only the
eighth time in the common draft era
that’s ever happened
wow with the 113th pick in the 2024 NFL
DRFT the Baltimore Ravens select
devontes Walker right receiver
UNC yeah devontes Walker guys 436 he can
absolutely fly real smooth athlete the
inconsistent hands is why he’s available
at this point in time catching balls
from Drake May uh that was something you
watched as he he got there halfway
through the season after he’ been
suspended stop and start for his Seas
wasn’t a fair situation I was about to
say we’re um congratulating Dez Walker
for not only being drafted by the
Baltimore Ravens but officially no
longer being in the clutches of the NCAA

might have to kick inside and play some
guard he’s got some power but he’s a
little bit tight in terms of the ankles
and the hips but real physical he’ll
benefit from moving inside in my opinion
be surprised if doesn’t move inside
compete with Ezra Cleveland at left
guard right off the top so they added
their offensive line with the
115th pick in the 2024 NFL draft the
Cincinnati Bengals select Eric all tight
end
Iowa he also has some University of
Michigan ties he was a transfer to Iowa
he is a terrific football player he’s a
fantastic football player that teams
didn’t know how to slot in because of
the injuries when you look back in his
past you have the torn ACL this year but
he also had back surgery in 2022 but as
a football player on the field CD this
is a true inline y tight end he can
block you in the Run game which not many
tight ends can in this class as well as
give you some run after the catch down
the field it wasn’t too long ago that CJ
Usama did a really nice job for Joe
burrow at tight end before going to the
Jets on a free agent contract there’s
some similarities in playing ability and
playing style here with Eric h
with the
116th pick in the 2024 NFL draft the
Jacksonville Jaguars select Jordan
Jefferson nose tackle
LSU so they took Mason Smith out of LSU
in the second round and now take
basically his next door neighbor had a
good meal at that pro day and they were
in a great mood and came out of there
with two defensive linemen LSU has been
a defensive line factory this is more of
the nose tackle variety he’s got some
real shock in his hands the production
is not going to blow you away very
limited there but he can use his
quickness inside get in gaps and make
some things happen also has long arms
which you love to work with so again at
this point in time tools and things to
work with here in the fourth round

140 tackles 4 and a half sacks as an
inside linebacker he just bounces around
all over the field he’s just a really
fun player to watch you’ll see him
working against crossers and pass in
pass coverage you can really see him run
take on wise I thought there was some
work to be done there to be a little
more physical and getting off blocks
inside
but man he is fun to watch a ball of
energy at the linebacker position he’s
one of the guys that I had in my pound
the table article guys that I think are
going to make someone’s team and make
them better whether they’re a high draft
pick or not because you’re right about
the take on ability but we see that a
lot of college linebackers don’t we DJ
their ability to slip blocks and go make
plays because they’re better than the
guys they play with in college he’ll
learn that a little bit more but the
biggest thing is sometimes production
matters look at his tackle numbers at
UTEP the entire time every time you
looked up he was attached to a ball
carrier I love his story Independence
Community College for two years then
goes to UT plays 2020 2021 2022 2023
this is a guy who’s played a lot of
football look those tackle numbers Peter
200 tackles in college in high school so
this is a tackle machine just let’s see

put his hand in the ground and can move

the Seahawks but they do get a guy that
McDonald knows very well yeah I thought
Bano might end up there the offensive
line coach went in that deal so went in
