  1. That’s like 13.5% of the roster so that’s pretty consistent considering that each year the average NFL team has a 40-45% roster turn over

  2. looking back on that 2022 roster that poles came in with he really did a great job of quickly turning the roster around. and the rebuild isn’t even over yet

  3. If Teven has a healthy season, then he should get extended as well. Pat Scales has been solid, and he should also come back in 2025 and beyond if he chooses to keep playing.

    Larry Borom might get cut this summer, and Herbert will probably hope for a second contract somewhere else after the 2024 season.

  4. The Bears would save $3.1m cutting Borom. Could very easily see that happening with the additions of Pryor, Curhan & Kiran.

  5. Pat Scales is back on a 1 year deal so he should also count as “extended”.

    I don’t see Borom making the team and will likely be released after TC.

    As much as I like Herbert I think this is his last year as a Bear.

    Very big year for Teven Jenkins.

  6. That’s about everyone I would still want from the 2021 Bears. Besides Mack and Roquan (if we ignore the $ and timing involved).

  7. Herbert is probably not getting extended after this year. I’d like nothing more than to have Kiran take Borom’s job.

  8. I really hope they re-sign Scales. I want him, Taylor, and Santos to be around for the next decade as a trio. Another Mannelley, Maynard, Gould kind of situation. Would absolutely love for the ST to be taken care of for the foreseeable future.

  11. And great retentions as well. JJ, Kmet, Jenkins when healthy, Herbert, all top 10-15 caliber starters. Poles is cookin’ with hydrogen gas
