Pittsburgh Pirates, Penguins launch streaming service for local games

I’m officially jealous of the Pittsburgh Pirates. What happened to this country?
I’m sure there are more complex contract obligations at play than I realize, but this would be such an easy win for the cardinals. It’s pretty obvious how frustrated the fan base is, not just with the team itself but having to jump through hoops to watch. Why not acknowledge that and provide an easy to use and affordable platform to watch the cardinals? Could even brand it something cheesy like RedbirdTV. I’m sure that would help attendance too.
I really thought the cardinals would offer their own streaming package. Their brand is definitely strong enough in St. Louis and beyond.
$18/month actually feels pretty reasonable too. I would have assumed this would be quite a bit more.
Weren’t they ROOT sports? I think the problem with the Cardinals and Blues is they have a contract with Bally’s.
My Cardinals still leaving many of us in the dark.
