3. mookie might be the best athlete in baseball. not the fastest or strongest or anything…just all-around good/great. I think his struggles in the postseason, his terrible September and losing out the mvp to acuna, and all the attention on shohei have him even more focused, if that’s possible. dude is competitive, even if it’s quiet…and I expect him to be great all season long. he wants to shut up all the naysayers about his SS defense

7. I think the Dodgers absolutely stole Mookie. Yeah, the Dodgers are paying him large. But the Red Sox shouldn’t have let him go. He still could have left as a free agent. But now you’ve given a rare player the taste of another organisation. And a year for that team to entice him to stay. And it worked for the Dodgers. Freeman signs on two years later. Money not withstanding, I wonder if Ohtani comes to the Dodgers if they didn’t have those two. I can see those three pushing each other and having each others backs all season.
