This week’s newly announced Japanese corporate partner: Kose, a cosmetic brand. From Kose: “With this partnership agreement with the Los Angeles Dodgers, we hope that many Americans, including Dodgers fans, will become familiar with the corporation and the Kose brand.”

And Shohei no longer needs to buy tea today.
If you look closely, you can see that the background is Dodger Stadium.
Surely both staff and teammates will be able to drink as much Japanese tea as they like at any time.

  2. This is a straight up Shohei connected sponsorship lol he already has his face with Kose endorsement all over Japan contract is literally paying itself off.

  3. I think I read somewhere that Ohtani, on top of being the GOAT and all around great guy, is the perfect brand ambassador because when you sign him to promote a product he’ll use it to the very end. Shoes, wristwatches, cars, skin cream – whatever it is, he either wears it every day or brings it to all the high profile events because he has no strong preferences outside of baseball and will use what you give him by default.

  4. I’m about to have the most beautiful skin and it’s all thanks to the fine folks at Kose.

  5. I wonder what other Japanese companies will try and partner up with LA, maybe Sony? Nintendo used to be pretty involved with the mariners so I would imagine Sony might try and get some sponsorships as well in the baseball market

  7. There’s probably an argument to be made that Shohei is underpaid. Should’ve signed 10 years, $2bn with all the money he can bring in.

  8. I read it fast and thought we were bringing Kosei Fujita for a second. That would’ve found a way to be dope somehow
