Reds vs. Padres Game Highlights (4/29/24) | MLB Highlights

on the mound for your Padres is Matt
Waldren and he’s coming off a great
start in Kors field when he’s able to
get ahead early it allows him to utilize
the knuckle ball at a tough time against
the Phillies that’s for sure at strike
three much better start already now
Ellie D La Cruz will stand in Ellie’s
hitting 281 seven homers and 18 driven
in Smash to center field AAR no
shot into the Padre pen
the team leading eighth for Ellie day La
Cruz and the Reds grab an early one-
nothing lead well looked like Waldren
tried to get a sinking fast ball down
and into Ellie and just left that out
over the plate 443 ft later he’ll come
around tag home and put the Reds on the
board so one out nobody on Spencer steer
a right-handed batter they off Pitch and
a Fly ball down the right field line
long run for Fernando he’ll get there
covered a bunch of ground here’s the
left hand hitting Jake
freeley swinging the M gets away from
aashi he’s got to throw him out and he
will play and that’s strikeout number
two for Waldren as the top of the first
comes to a close for the Reds Nick ldo
little more conventional than his
counterpart Matt walren fast ball slider
change up really the only three pitches
that ldo throws Jon profar batting lead
off for the first time yesterday it’s a
highfly ball to left field back go steer
at the wall it is
gone quick answer by the Padres in the
bottom of the first profar it’s a home
run his fourth of the Year ties the game
one to one good sign for the Padres here
early this is something they weren’t
able to do on that last series which was
answered back after the field score well
Ellie De La Cruz goes deep in the first
the Padre’s respond in a big way on a
solo shot from jerickson profar so the
Home Run ties the game one to one and
here is Fernando
Lolo strikes him out J cronenworth with
the home run yesterday cronenworth
pounds it into the ground with a short
stop D La Cruz moves to his right
fieldson has plenty of time to make the
throw right on target to get cronenworth
Manny Machado will stand
in driven to Center Benson way
back at the wall makes the catch Machado
gave it a ride but just missed it so one
very quickly gone now Nick Martini will
be the batter pitch this Ball’s stung on
a line right by Xander Bogarts and into
right field that was a center cut
knuckle ball and Martini was all over it
and now jamer candelerio will come to
the plate and boy does this guy need to
get going he is scuffling Big Time
lifted to left Center Martini got a good
break that’s down to the Gap Martini
sprinting for third a zokar from Center
throws in stops signed third and jamer
candelerio gets off the schneide The
Dugout rejoices a standing double Padres
will bring the infield in as Santiago
espanol comes to the plate second and
third with one out that’ll do it sent to
Center Zar and deep Center makes the
grab bothman tag throw to third Martini
scores zackly RBI and the Reds Take the
Lead back it’s 2-1 Luke meley did that a
couple of times
yesterday bulk and that’s a run he just
barked in candelario 31 Reds I think
that he they’re may be saying that he
did not come to a complete stop a
discernable stop is the way the rule
book reads it and Todd tishner said look
you didn’t come set there’s nothing I
can do about it so that’s a bulk Reds
have scored twice here in this second
inning now bases are empty two
outs High Fly ball to left field that’ll
stay in the yard Prof far in a step or
two and takes care of out number three
so backto back walks here Padre’s now
with Runners on first and second nobody
out with the designated hitter eggy
Rosario tried to check could not hold up
and the high heat the finisher Jose is
zokar is up there
now devastating breaking ball swung
through consecutive strikeouts for lolo
and now two on and two out it’ll be left
up to Kyle higashi open struck him out
what a rally for ldo three straight
punch outs after backto back walk start
of the inning nice bounce back for Lolo
will Benson will lead off for the Reds
here in the third inning Benson scals
one over first that’s down base hit
Benson blazes up to second tatis from
right standing double for Benson one
away Benson still at second base Spencer
steers fouled out to right and he rips
one over third base hit wave is on for
Benson he rounds and scores easily steer
chugs into second that’s his first extra
base hit a couple of weeks looks like
he’s getting right and the Reds ahead 41
couple of pitches in this inning for wal
that they just kind of stayed right
there that ball comes right down into
the low inside part of the zone and
Spencer here drops the bat head on it
jerks and pro far to lead it off in the
bottom of the third inning hit a lead
off home run back in the
first and Lolo makes it four straight
strikeouts Bridging the second and third
two down here’s Jake
cronenworth and he struck him out fast
ball away three up three down third
inning for left-hander Nick ldo Nick ldo
has been on a nice rle he has retired
the last six Padres struck him out nasty
breaking ball well it looks so good to a
right-handed hitter comes out of his
hand he’s already seen a couple of fast
balls and this at bat and you can just
see the reaction immediately on the face
and the weak swing there by Machado
Xander Bogart’s walked first
time Top Hand flies off ldo mowing him
down he is now retired eight straight
seven by strikeout in that span well
he’s making it look awfully easy too on
just about every different pitch in his
Arsenal he’s getting strikeouts Nick
Lolo has set down nine straight seven by
strikeout in that
time swing it a Miss meley
gathers that’s nine strikeouts on the
game for lulo now too quickly gone here
in the fifth now he deals with the
number nine hitter Kyle
higashioka YOLO Doo this Nick at night
special with double digit strikeouts
unbelievable 10 strikeouts for Nick ldo
and he is retired 12 in a row and two
away 17 in a row retired by
ldo a season High 11 strikeouts Nick ldo
has retired 18 Two on Two Out Red’s
leading it 4 to one in the ninth
Santiago espinol
opposite way down base hit wave is on
they’re going to challenge tatis the
throw spikes some a safe slide Martini
backside it’s espinal up to Second the
Reds have slam range it’s now 51 second
and third outstanding bit of hitting by
Santiago espanol right there you could
see it in the previous pitch that he
wanted to hit the ball to right field
fouled at all this time he gets a
breaking ball up no better pitch to go
with than that now the Padres down to
their final out here’s Jake
cronenworth to right center field long
run for B and he’s not going to get
there one hops up off the wall and into
second base goes konorth that breaks up
a string of 23 in a row retired that’ll
get Manny to the plate on the ground
into right field to base hit konorth
being sent around here comes the throw
it is cut off and the Padres are on the
board five to2 now man he taking ADV
of the big hole on the right side 105
off the bat he brings this game within
three dander Bogart’s the batter there’s
a ground ball to Short Stop D La Cruz
will fire to First and he throws it away
second base for Bogarts third base for
Machado he unced that throw from
shortstop candaleria just didn’t have
time to react to it it was thrown so
hard from such a short distance away
dayon Cruz took his time in order to be
able to show off the arm all of a sudden
the tie run is at the plate in Hong K
swing and a miss he struck him out and
the Reds take the opener a rare Triumph
in San Diego 5-2 the final

  1. I mean seriously when are these Reds are gonna have to start experiencing cold reality? These wankers don’t know what getting swept means FFS

  2. Only good thing about this team is you can safely turn the game off as soon as they are down 2+ runs. One fluky comeback win sure but otherwise they are more than satisfied to take the L. Team refuses to score at home.

  4. The Padres are just happy to pick up their wages each week. Losing isn’t a problem as long as the $$$ keeps rolling in. They’re lazy, uncommitted, habitual losers.

  5. パドレスの選手のみなさん、また明日の試合🏟️も頑張って下さい。
    ダルさんの明日の復帰戦めちゃくちゃ楽しみにしています。
